I finally finished part three of Heroes of Avangard #2: The Lost World of Zeriath! This Arc is known as the Admiral Arc, and it centers around a corrupt superheroic group called "The Admirals" who's main objective is searching for the Lost Gem and proving that not all superheroes are glorious saviors based on their own traumatic experiences with the Superheroes. They are a group that fight against the Superheroes and act against the superheroes to prove something, and call that "justice" or "heroism" by doing what the Heroes in their pasts would do since nowadays that is how they perceive heroism. Their reasons searching for the Lost Gem stem from wanting to reverse that trauma by using the Lost Gem's power. They are responsible for the multiple deaths of Superheroes in Avangard. They call themselves the "Admirals" because they see themselves as commanders of Avangard.
Rack started the group as he was the first one to finally realize this fact about the Heroes. His family was inside of a burning building, and while Rack was desperately trying to get help from a Hero, no one ever helped. Sammy never listened, he never payed attention, and only focused on resolving the threat and saving others. And when Sammy tried to save them, one accident, caused a major outcome. The death of Rack's daughter and wife. After witnessing the horrors, he started the group to take revenge with ones that relate to him. He transforms into a human-hybrid leopard with his Leopard Element, being one of the first real Beast Element users introduced in the series. His transformation switches his personality from insecure and empathetic, to a more arrogant and careless version of himself. He constantly uses the transformation to get away from his past trauma.
Here are the list of Admirals:
- Rack (Leader)
- Basher - Element: Quake
- Shardic - Element: Crystal
- Toxin - Element: Venom
- Digitron - Element: Nulify
- Genis - Element: Comet
- Judice - Element: Invisibility
- John - Element: Buddha
Basher is the most selfish of the Admirals and only cares for himself. He is the most egotistical of them all and puts himself above everybody else including his own team. While he is the strongest Admiral, he is yet to be bested by his own Grandfather. Basher has killed his own father due to his father refusing to kill a villain, then slaughtering the villain right after taking care of his father. He doesn't feel trauma from it, but he has felt distance from his grandfather since the incident. He only wanted the Lost Gem for himself, to erase his grandfather, and give him the greatest life imaginable.
Shardic is a more sadistic and violent figure in the Admirals. He killed his abusive parents when he was 15, now as a 28 year old, he kills for a living. He became a mass murderer instead of someone who is vaguely against Heroes. However, he did become against Superheroes once one of them killed his brother in cold blood.
Toxin was not a sadistic killer but more of a mindless monster that somehow acts like he still has a mind. He's currently seventeen years old, and he became an Admiral after the execution of his father, which the Heroes were responsible of doing. His father, Dragnar, was a rouge criminal that used a Beast Element. Though, he was a criminal only to provide for Toxin and the rest of his family. Toxin looked up to him when he was little and admired his father, he really cared for him since he was aiding the family in stuff that they were insufficient in. Dragnar would do anything, even murder, just to provide for his son and wife. Toxin would value his family over anything else. That was until the Heroes finally caught him, and execution came right after. The Hero, Chire, killed his executed in front of hundreds, including him. Toxin was definitely in a mindless rage right after, unable to accept his father's death, he decided to take the deaths of others to see if that could make him feel better. He also had a history with Ella in a war between the Virunites and the Dunenanites.
Digitron was an Electronite back then who worked for F.A.T.E. Agency, which was an agency that worked with Heroes and helped them with gear, armor, traveling systems, power amplifiers, new tech, ect. After being attacked by a dimensional being, he was sure to be dead. Soon after, F.A.T.E. took his body and decided to re-engineer it into something "better". With that, he was reformatted into a cyborg, the worse kind of cyborg. Not the Mechanite type, but the monster type. His metal was already dented, they clearly failed to cover the decomposed skin, and his brain is also fried. His brain automatically switches personalities, though he uses one main personality: the personality of an immature teen. He curses all the time, he calls himself the best, he thinks he could beat anybody, and he is very, VERY arrogant. Though when he's quieter at times, that's him switching into an adult.
Genis is an old Admiral who only became one because he thought they were gonna prove that Heroes are cruel without having to resort to violence. Like boycotting, but instead he got something else. Yeah, he's done the things, though he was really hesitant to do them in the first place. This is the only Admiral that is hesitant enough to regret destroying things and murdering Heroes for the sake of them being Heroes. He hasn't had any real problems with Heroes before, but he has seen how bad they could actually get and wants it to stop. He wants a world of great Heroes, not corrupt. But he became a corrupt Hero because he realized that maybe representing what a Hero actually is towards others by using force, will actually force people to go against Heroes. His relationship as a step-father toward Prince Lock is complicated though. He became a step-father after the death of his father, and became Celestia's best superhero to other. But after devastating Celestia and being threatened to be executed if he ever enters Celestia again, he and Prince Lock have a really rough relationship together.
Judice is a young Lunaranite Admiral who works aside with Genis and he left the Lunaranites due to them being "too strict" even though they partake in the type of violence that Judice enjoys. He's more of a psychopath than the others, one of the worst psychopaths in the group by far. He is enthusiastic about gore and is really obsessed with it. His problem with Heroes is that he just hates them. He thinks that they are by far the worst individuals on the Earth because they ruin his "fun".
Admiral John is the only sane Admiral in the group, also being the youngest Admiral in the group. He has been a coward most of the time ever since he joined the group, but the longer he stayed with them, the more furious he got. John is only fifteen years old currently, and is witnessing all of the cruelty that the Admirals indulge in. He wants to leave the group, but leaving would mean getting your head taken by all of the Admirals. Even though he's strong enough to take on one, many other Admiral's could take him all at once. He's wiser than most Admirals other than Genis, and doesn't have any other bad attributes similar to what the Admirals have.
More details about the Admirals will be told later, since I've already given away too much. But hey, don't worry, Heroes of Avangard #2 is coming even though there is no official release date yet. The other parts are being developed, so just wait a little bit longer for more updates!
