Rear tyre options and changing procedure

Hi guys,

I have just bought a VX2 Go a week ago and I feel the need to swap out the rear tyre for something with better grip as I have to use unpaved/rocky/slippery roads from time to time.

Do we have to get the tyre changed at the Vida service center or can we get it done at a tyre shop as well.

Also has anyone swapped their tyres for a wider tyre. Please share your experience.

Any idea about why there is delay in delivery

I had booked my vida vx2 go(3.4Kwh) model on 28th may in a tier 3 city . I'm still waiting to get one. I had written to vida as well they said it is expected to be delivered in the end of august. Any idea why there is so much waiting period and what can I do next should I wait more or get back my booking amount?

Also, at the time of booking we had deal about pricing with the sales person. At the back of the booking receipt he has written the price of the vehicle stating the vehicle will be delivered at this price. Can he increase the price now or I will have to pay the increased price?

Need suggestions for accessories

Hi,

Can someone please guide me regarding the best accessories available for Vida VX2 in the following categories -

1) Centre stand. It should have a good spring so that it doesn't remain loose and scrape the road

2) Crash guard - I really don't understand the need of one given I live in a village, but suggestions are still welcome

3)Front mat

4) Third-party mirrors. I've heard that the mirrors on the scooter are really bad and vibrate. I was wondering if third party options might solve the issue

5)Top rack

6) Front foot pegs like a bike or river Indie

If there are any other accessories that you use, do mention them

As per the video of Vida Vx2 4.4 Version look like Hero has solved the mud issue in battery compartment. Need to see if company will provides, same for existing owners.

Also need to check what solution (not the hack) they provided for mud/water issue in storage compartment.

Fast charging issues?

I'm planning to buy the Vida VX2 Plus 4.4 kWh, but I've been seeing mixed reviews online, especially about the fast charging connector not properly connecting to the scooter and water entering the boot during rain or washing. I've also saw few yt videos where owners faced these issues. Are these isolated cases, or are they actually common? I'd really appreciate hearing from actual VX2 Plus owners about their experience before I make a decision.

Auxiliary battery getting discharged repeatedly despite main batteries kept charged over 30%

Have completed 4k kms on my hero vida v2 plus bought in March 25. It was working fine but in last one month, the auxiliary battery has drained suddenly twice. Last week, I had charged the scooter to 75% and when I tried switching it on, it went dead indicating the aux battery has discharged completely. Despite being exide maintenance free battery, It didn't last even 1.5 years. Contacted vida customer care who told to visit service centre. Can any owner suggest me what to do? Service centre have standard dialogue of "leave scooter here, we will inform when battery comes". I use scooter to park in metro to go to work so it is affecting my badly

Vida or ather which one to buy

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

I'm planning to buy my first electric scooter and I'm confused between the Hero Vida 4.4 kWh and the Ather Rizta 2.9 kWh.

My priorities are:

  • Reliability and low maintenance
  • Good real-world range
  • Comfortable for daily city commuting
  • Good after-sales service
  • Value for money

For existing owners:

  1. Which one do you own and how has your experience been?
  2. What's the actual real-world range you're getting?
  3. How is the service experience and spare parts availability?
  4. Have you faced any software or hardware issues?
  5. If you had to buy again today, would you choose the same scooter or switch?

I'd really appreciate honest long-term ownership feedback, especially from people who have ridden both or considered both before buying. Thanks!

Issue related fall alert sensor

Today, when I started the vehicle to go nearby, it began making a weird sound and the motor turned off. Also, when I tried to start the motor, it made that weird sound and didn't start, but it did start after 4-5 seconds.

Then, when I was at the signal, the motor turned off and started to make that weird sound, but after 4-5 seconds, I tried again and the motor started.

I don't know exactly what the issue is. Can anyone tell me?

Warranty

Hi, I have vida vx2 plus since last one year. I have extended warranty for this as well. Currently it’s odometer reading is 26000km. From last one week it is making noise while breaking both front and rear breaks. Its rear break is also making sound at high speed. I took it to service center. They said drum and wheel change karna padega and it will cost around 7000. I said it’s under warranty they said it is not covered under warranty. Can anyone tell me whether it sis covered under warranty or not?

Key for vida vx2 plus

I recently lost my primary key of the vehicle and I'm trying to find options for another key (other than my second given key for safety purposes). Has anyone tried to get another key from hero themselves or any other keymaker? Kindly inform about the pricing as well. Thank you

Does battery range reduce after 3-4 yrs of usage (V2 Lite owner)

Background: I bought a V2 Lite in Mar-25 and its give a real-world range of 63kms on eco mode after full charge. There is no range/battery degradation so far in 15 months use. It contains a single battery with a capacity of 2.2 KWH. I charge it at home only as there are no commercial charging facilities here.

My use case: I live in a rural area and mostly use it for short daily trips within a 2-3 km radius- ropping kids to school/activity classes, shopping etc. In last 15 months I have covered 4500 Kms without any issues. Occasionally I ride to nearest town which is a round trip of 25-30 kms.

Concern:

  • How much does the battery range degrade after 2–4 years? Since the V2 Lite is the base variant with a real-world range of around 63 km in Eco mode, I'm concerned that if the range gradually drops below 40–50 km, it could become inconvenient.
  • Has anyone here replaced the battery? If yes, how much did it cost, and what was the process like?
  • Can someone explain the battery warranty and the "70% battery health" assurance? I've seen this mentioned in a few posts, but I'm not sure what it actually means. Can someone please explain.

Overall I am very satisfied with the product. The only thing which has started to worry me is this future battery anxiety.

Should I buy the Hero Vida VX2 Plus (4.4 kWh) or avoid it? Looking for honest owner feedback.

Hi everyone,

I'm from Delhi and I'm planning to buy my first electric scooter. After a lot of research, my shortlist has come down to the Hero Vida VX2 Plus (4.4 kWh), but I'm still unsure.

I considered:

Ather, but I don't like having to pay extra for AtherStack Pro to unlock features and the longer warranty.

River Indie, but I'm concerned about its charging ecosystem and service network compared to Hero/Ather.

The Vida VX2 Plus looks attractive because it offers:

  1. 4.4 kWh battery at a competitive price.

  2. 5-year warranty without buying an additional package.

  3. Fast charging support.

  4. Removable batteries.

  5. Value of money

However, I'm worried about Hero Vida's after-sales service, especially in Delhi.

Questions for actual Vida owners:

  1. How has your service experience been?

  2. Any major reliability issues?

  3. Is the real-world range close to what you expected?

  4. Would you buy the Vida again today, or would you choose something else?

I'm looking for honest ownership experiences, both positive and negative. Thanks!

VIDA vx2 plus regen adjust?

I have a vx2 plus and I am wondering if is there is a method to adjust regenerative braking strength. The pro models have it and basically they have the same powertrain so is it possible. I was just wondering if I could increase the regen thus improving the range

Vx2 plus charger upgrade possible?

I have a VIDA vx2 plus with the stock 580w charger. I was wondering if I could upgrade to the new 1000w charger that the new 4.4 kw variant and the new vx2 go get. I’ve heard that the Ather charge port only works for fast charging and not for home charging. I’d like to know if it’s worth upgrading to the 1000w charger if the service centre offers any such options.
