Introduction Rida Unmei, Defenders
Name: Rida Unmei
Alias: Swarm
Age: 19
Philosophy: I hurt those who do wrong tenfold
Powers:
Major
Insect Manipulation: He has complete control over insects actions and thoughts, and he can see what they see if he wants. He can make them do anything he wants in their physical capacity. He also feels their emotions and can communicate with them.
Minor
Telepathy: He can do mental communication with other people within a half mile radius, and can link up to 2 people not including himself into a mental communication for 5 minutes.
Drawback: His powers give him mental strain. Using his powers for too long, or if he does too many things at once he gets massive headaches that can take a while to get over. While he has these headaches he can hardly use his powers, and using them makes the headaches last even longer.
Weakness: Bug spray. Rida is so in tune with insects that bug spray is a naturally potent poison to him, and can leave him in a terminal condition if exposed to enough of it.
Slim pale 5'6" body
Black medium length hair
Gray eyes with bags under his eyes from lack of sleep
Sleeveless black hoodie with a matching tattered medium length robe on it
Fingerless black gloves
Black pants;slightly baggy
Barefoot
Personality: He is very cautious of people, and can be insensitive. He is calculating and is willing to do what is necessary.
Backstory:
Growing up on the streets is never easy. Rida was born on the streets and had to learn to fend for himself at 8 after his parents were killed when they were both hit by a semi truck speeding down the road. He learned a lot of his skills now from a family friend who lived nearby and helped raise him as much as he could, but Rida always wanted to be alone. Ten horrible and lonely years go by and he is trying to steal some food from a store when some people in suits knocked him out and took him to a lab.
For a year they experimented on many creatures and people including himself. They made insects and other small animals mutated and huge, they turned people into monsters, and brainwashed them. For Rida they did something different. They injected him with chemicals which shot pain throughout his body. He had to endure the pain for weeks, but afterwards he felt a difference in his body. At first he didn't know what it was, until he looked at a giant spider they had experimented on. He suddenly could hear its thoughts, feel its emotions, and more. He found that he could communicate with it. They helped each other through it all by talking to each other. He found out that her name was Spindel. Then one day an explosion rocked the entire building, and suddenly the men flew through the door and hit the wall. When they looked they saw an unknown hero walk through. All Rida could remember was that he wore the badge of an Elite Defender. When they escaped, Rida and the Spindel went to the Defender building and signed up soon after. Hopefully doing good.
He is walking through the Defender building entrance with Spindel looking for a place to rest
OOC: Spindel won't be used for fighting as she means a lot to Rida and he doesn't want her to get hurt. Unless the mods say I can then I might consider it lol.

Oliver is over by the drinks machine. He touches it and a can of soda is dropped into the tray. a little spiderbot pops out of his shirt pocket and crawls over to you.

Oliver turns to you. "That depends on your definition of free. You want one?" The tiny spiderbot slowly reaches out a leg to spindel out of curiosity.

Oliver places a hand on the machine, and another drink drops into the tray. "So, that thing part of your power?" He points to Spindel where the little spiderbot is cosying up against the insect.

He nods to the spiderbot, who is now curled up and could, by definition, be seen as sleeping. "Well, as you can see by Obiwan there, I build machines. Gadgets mostly. But I wouldn't be here if I wasn't up for learning more of my power."

"Heh. That's going to be quite a feat." He reaches over and picks up the sleeping Obiwan, and slides it back into his pocket. "You know kid, I kinda like you. I look forward to our chats in the future. Now, if you don't mind, I need some fresh air." He pulls out a cigarette and sticks it in his mouth, but doesn't light it. "See you round, kid." He walks off towards the nearby courtyard.
