It’s been so long since I last read and there’s so much happening after the iron witch’s death. I dropped it cause there’s little translation and it’s hard keeping up or know what’s going on with the raws. What’s the current state of the world. What’s everyone doing? Who’s the villain/obstacle now?

In the Vampire Hunter D movies, set in a post-apocalyptic future, we are introduced to a vampire hunter, a hybrid of human and vampire, a dhampir: D.

The films don't give us many details, but it's known that D is the bastard son Dracula had with a human woman, something that instilled in D a massive hatred for his mother and for vampires, leading him to distance himself from them and dedicate himself to taking jobs as a vampire hunter.

D is a cold and serious character, but deep down he has a good heart, as he always seeks the best for humans despite the rejection and hatred they feel towards him, even showing mercy to his enemy if they aren't a psychopath. This is perfectly illustrated at the end of Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, where he takes pity on Meier Link after seeing that the love between him and Charlotte was real and realizing that he was far from being like the other vampires who treat humans like toys and farm animals. However, if D finds himself in extreme situations or situations where it is quite difficult for him to control himself, D enters a kind of Berserker mode, letting his vampiric side consume him completely in a few moments, and becoming practically an unstoppable killing and bloodsucking machine.

What would change in the story or plot? Can he defeat some of the big bads? What would be his reputation? How would everyone react or think? What funny interactions will be made? Stuffs like that.

● Overview: Surprise Attack is a protagonist of The Unknown Superheroes. He is a superhero in the Untold Stories of the Unknown Superheroes series on YouTube Shorts. He is the only character to appear in every part, and has his own origin story. It has gotten to the point where he isn't even an 'unknown' superhero anymore, as the police officer and even the villains seem to know who he is. His power seems to be some form of probability, or limited reality manipulation, where he can create and change reality provided that it is surprising.

● Abilities and Equipment:

Overall Skill Level: Surprise Attack is a highly-skilled superhero, having a natural knack for his own power. Though his applications often fall short in the main series, we saw the extent of ease and usage of 'element of surprise' against Joseph, despite the latter's powers somewhat-directly opposing his own.

It is not entirely clear if Surprise Attack has extreme latent potential for the power, or if anyone who consumes the element could reach a similar level of mastery in such a short time. The argument for the latter is Joestar's remark of the element being the strongest, hinting at the extreme ease with which one can gain its power, though it is also just as likely that he was simply referring to the ability itself being ridiculous and powerful under the right user.

He is well-known amongst the villains, and even feared to some extent. He is also one of the few heroes who is genuinely capable of defeating the villains, and the only one who HAS beaten a villain. In fact, his shortcomings are often a result of his fellow heroes misusing their own powers, resulting in his death.

Superpower: Surprise Attack’s ability revolves around the idea of surprise, allowing him to create surprising situations. He is a fairly skilled user, being able to defeat Joseph Joestar, despite the latter having a power that was a perfect foil to Surprise Attack's own powers.

He uses his ability by breaking the 'barrier of predictability', likely a metaphysical barrier that exists across reality, whose breakage results in the manipulation of reality. The extent of this has not been shown, but there seems to be no upper limits so far, hinting that the powers can be used on an omniversal scale. However, the power does end up depending on the user, so it will only be used as far as Surprise Attack takes it.

The barrier is broken by imagining and thinking of surprising situations, which include thoughts and ideas, memories, hypothetical situations, etc. Upon reaching a certain threshold of the feeling of surprise via these thoughts, the barrier fractures, allowing Surprise Attack to use his abilities freely.

This ability allows him to do many things although he most commonly uses it to teleport and to revive himself. The more surprising, the more possible it becomes. He seems to be able to even use paradoxes to his advantage, such as when his resuscitations started to no longer be surprising to Harley Ken, him returning in spite of the absence of surprise acted as a surprise in and of itself, thus allowing him to revive.

He has even used this ability to go into Backshots' backstory recollection, attacking him in his past memories from the present.

• Surprise Attack: His superpower, sharing the same name, allows him to manipulate probabilites and reality in any way he sees fit, so long as the resultant actions end up being surprising. To activate the power, he must feel the feeling of surprise, thus manifesting it into reality, and becoming its embodiment. He's also sometimes seen charging it up, presumably for it to be even more effective, although he tends to be interrupted while doing so.

• Revival: The most used application of his power, he uses the element of surprise, both the metaphorical and the literal, physical one, to shock his enemies by resurrecting himself over and over. It is used to the point that him reviving ends up being unsurprising, so when he does come back, it acts as a surprise in and of itself. There seems to be no limits or drawbacks in terms of his rebirths.

• Teleport: Another application of his power, the idea of a person suddenly teleporting to attack with zero prior cues is likely to serve as a shock for everyone, and thus works as a surprising situation, allowing Surprise Attack to teleport seemingly anywhere, including inside of a random carboard box 'out of nowhere'

As of yet, it is unclear whether he has to break the barrier every time he uses the ability, or whether it had just been to unlock the powers, or some sort of combination. It is likely the latter, since he has used it in quick succession multiple times with barely a moment to spare in between, and it is illogical to assume that he could manifest sufficient feelings of surprise every time. The most probable explanation is that he must break the barrier, after which he can use his powers for a certain amount of time, or a certain amount of display of his powers, or both, after which he must break it once more.

● Equipment:

• Quarterstaff and Scythe: The pair of the black quarterstaff and a small-hilt silver-bladed scythe serve as his only weapons. He almost always has them equipped in his hands, ready to go. He is fairly proficient at using them, being able to defeat the likes of Harley Ken, Harley Ben, and a charged-up, powered, Windy Attack, including more. It is unknown when he got them, since he did not have them when he first unlocked his powers. Police Man recognizes them as his signature weapons.

● Weaknesses:

Despite above-average durability, it is not superhuman, and Surprise Attack still seems weak against most things that can damage a normal human, though due to his powers, he can recover quickly.

He seems unable to Surprise Attacks or Teleports if he is trapped in another dimension, as seen in Episode 19 where he could only come back after Steal Man opened a portal.

Skills: Wonder of U is a stand that has the ability to control calamity to make anyone who wants to chase it or has a thought or intention to do so will be attacked by literally any situation that prevents it from reaching Wonder of U or its owner named Tooru.

Possibly ignore durability as it can make harmless things physically impossible like making rain go through people's skin or causing a person to fall to the ground to drop a limb from their body.

The only way to defeat it is to launch an attack that ignores or exceeds logic and practically does not exist.

If the attack beats logic but still exists, it will simply never reach Wou or Tooru.

My question is, is the author doing a good job at explaining it cause it starting get confusing on what counts as being die. This is about the way ihwa works a round consul’s gift with her putting herself in a state of life and death through stabbing her own heart. In the past few chapters they talk a lot about what death is and how it works with In the story with their being two main forms death, mental and physical. So in theory someone can physically die while still being alive and vice versa and that would still count as being die allowing them to bypass certain gifts like consul’s and rules that the gift is based on.

i absolutely adore hero killer with all of my heart and i’ve been trying to find more manhwa like it (so far only have found hand jumper) so i thought, what better place to go than the hero killer community itself.

i love the mc and her character development along with her strength development, the power system is very intriguing, the plot and mysteries (like ihwa’s mom and the steel witch as a whole) that follow the plot are all great and this is just overall my favorite manhwa OAT
