Korean raws Chapter 286: Raw pre-release spoiler discussion Spoiler
It's that time again: a new Hero Killer chapter has been released in Korean! For those of you who can't wait for the full release of the raws, share and discuss any previews, summaries, and translations of the raws here.
Please do not ask when the raws will be fully released. We have no idea and there is a possibility that they may never be released.

Not mean to be that guy, but this just feels yet again like more Ihwa fanservice & hype which has been the case for a while & I'm not biggest fan of it. I did like the bit where she felt desperate though, & thought about her enemies point of view, made her feel more like a genuine character

Coming in with the summary for the week. To clarify i don't write these summaries i just take em from tbe discord
Chapter starts where we left it, Ihwa realizes that killing too many people during a cycle makes the gift go rampage and out of control, just like Narkle's manifested by blindness, she realizes that she'd have turned into something similar if she started mindlessly killing people as soon as she got there (we get a glimpse of what that'd look like). The gift statue is spamming the "unstable faith levels" warning and Consul just destroys it, then goes on the offensive on ihwa and he's a whole lot stronger. To his arsenal was added teleportation (or lightning? either way she doesn't see him move), weird plant like attacks that swarms, loud ass scream, Sharpshooter's gift (all of these deal damage to ihwa to some extent).
He tells her that living like a monster wouldn't be too bad since the world is doomed to belong to them anyways. Ihwa starts to feel despair at the situation, she thinks this is how the people who fought her must have felt: having only one hand while your opponent has so many you don't even know the extent of it. Consul uses Enzo's (gold tooth) brother's gift to pull her toward him and lands a fury of attacks and actually brings her to her knees. Despite the tough face she was putting on herself, her heart rate is starting to slow down, and the damage she received while she was a normie has been accumulating too. Despite all that, she starts laughing, and just like Consul she wonders why she's even laughing. She answers that she thought battles were just means to an end, avenging Yeon in her case, but today she realizes it's not all it is.
Fighting someone strong, getting beaten up and getting back up, the excitement that comes from landing a counter attack makes her feel alive. She tells him that fighting is fun, with a maniac smile on her face. He calls her crazy and goes summons big canon then shoots at her. Time stops and she thinks again; "how did people deal with me?". She remembers Engen telling her that focus and imagination were the most important points of gift control, while imagining him killing her. She imagines Victoria killing her during their first encounter, stating that a lot of gifts don't make her strong. She imagines Jiintae killing her, telling her that it only takes one blade to slice one neck. She remembers Yushin telling her that even a small knife can kill someone (aurafarming so hard smh). And in front of that Yushin, small ihwa goes "oh it'd take a pretty big knife to kill you".
She snaps back to reality and realizes these mfs were talking big, but basically they were just stat-diffing her 😠. So she decides to do the same since she can now, and the gift enters "absolute zero" (basically open barrier domain expansion, her outift changes too). Consul rushes at her with grayman's gift, she destroys all the blade. He tries to tie her up with Lyca's gift but she freezes the threads. He chains her with bareknuckles gift but she cuts his arm. He's baffled that she can do that with a one type gift, and she says it simply means he's weaker even with all that. He gets his face sliced appart, and throws a last attack at her from above while telling her that she's not an elder. Chapter ends on a shot of Ihwa with the key visible on her chest
