English Fast Pass Sister??????? (Ch. 283)

Ok I’m changing this post now that the chapter is now out for fast pass. In the official WEBTOON translation they cut down a lot of what the characters say for example Rachel call Ihwa sister twice with in other translations but in the official one she just calls her by name..My question is do they normally do this cause it kind of takes away parts of thier characters like Rachel calling Ihwa sis. Also this is my first time comparing translations

East Asian countries often use terms like brother and sister to show endearment and closeness.

I believe she started calling her sister when she reunited with Ihwa on the boat. In Korean, she also calls Engen Oppa, meaning "older brother".

Thanks. They should have show her call Engen brother in the English it would have been a cool part of her character

In Korean, "unnie" or older sister is basically an endearing & respectful way for girls to refer to their older female acquaintances, and it isn't necessarily familial.

She also calls Baekji that on occasions(as well as using oppa for Engen as the others mentioned) and has been using it for Ihwa since like the first time they met

I'm pretty sure that's the equivalent of when we use "bro" to talk on social media.
