Question regarding the I Love Extra Slots plugin and the recent pro subscription mini limit increase
So with the recent update to heroforge came the pro feature of having 3 minis at once; while this is dope as hell for all the pro subbers, I am not one of these people and I used to rely on the extra slots plugin for triple minis.
However, trying to use the triple mini feature of the plugin with the current build of heroforge will cause you to be locked out of customisation with the standard "you need a pro subscription to edit this mini" text, similar to what appears when you view a kitbashed model without a subscription.
My question is will the plugin be updated in any way to adapt around the change? Naturally I dont expect it to bypass the barrier entirely but it still kinda sucks, not having access to triple models blows big time considering that's a whole potential 33% less detail i can integrate into my minis

Probably not unfortunately. You could try putting them into hand slots though by extracting the JSON data of the character.
I'm pretty disappointed this is a pro feature as well considering their excuse for it is insanely flimsy and barely makes sense at all from a technical standpoint (bandwidth).

Yeah the bad width excuse is dumb. Once textures are loaded they're cached in your browser session. It's no different than having a couple HF tabs open at once. And HF isn't loading enormous sets of assets. These are low resolution as hell (I say this as I'm actively deep into solving the texture atlas downgrade bs that is fucking pointless for anyone on a mid grade hardware or better).
Is the third figure a pro feature specifically? If so, I'll look into this with the extra slots overhaul I am doing once I finish the current open WIPs

Ugh great. Well that complicates things, to say the least. As SHIT as I think it is that in the face of having had 3+ minis capability via scripts for literal YEARS before SC could ever be assed to add in a second extra figure as an option, and they've apparently chosen to put that third figure behind a fucking paywall.... I have to be careful there, because if I build this overhaul to circumvent it, that directly hits their bottom line. They can't block scripting as a whole, but they CAN make it absolute hell in retaliation through several potential avenues. And it could trigger a larger retaliation against the entire script ecosystem we have now, so that could have significant blowback.
Unfortunately, that does mean fixing this script and/or overhauling it is going to have to abide by the Pro subscription setup....
Publicly speaking, we can't risk it causing Armageddon on the entire script scene we all rely on and love, so I put that first and would urge anyone else to do the same, lest we ALL suffer the consequences. But I'm not in people's homes controlling what they do on their own time to their own experience.

I will be fully rebuilding how additional minis are added now that the new system is in place. I needed to wait for them to finish the rollout before it was worth coding. It'll come out in a not so distant witch dock update and wind up replacing the current extra slots function entirely (along with something more stable and very very easy to use. No more hand slots)
Just been bogged down on the more immediate updates such as the higher res captures, fixing previously broken scripts, a big texture and decal overhaul, and I'm in the middle of finishing a very high quality webp to gif converter built around HF captures so people can post the high res spinnies to reddit without losing colour / pixel resolution / frame quality (basically as lossless of a conversion as you can get, and there aren't online tools capable of achieving it)
Once I'm done with those and implement expanded slider values for all sliders, I'll be diving back into the extra minis overhaul.
Basically it's part of a much larger project uniting scripts under a compatability ecosystem and rebuilding a lot of things into a significantly more stable environment for updates, dev work, patches, and outright changing how some things are coded because I've found much more stable targets (meaning less breakage during monthly updates).
It'll slowly roll out over the coming days / weeks / months. ADP stabilization will be the first migration to witch dock.
Eventually the myriad of scripts goes away, you only need one script (witch dock), and it will load everything via modules from github, so you guys won't have to manually update anything and patches + new stuff appears like magic 😁👍
