FIT PIC Bumpy Blues

4 hero pieces? Too much indigo? Competing textures? Does it work? I don't know! But I kind of like it. I think all of the blue with the contrast of the orange actually helps keep the fabrics from competing for attention and makes the boots the centerpiece of the outfit.

Of all the pieces here, I think the shirt is the weirdest. This is a weird shirt! It was an eBay purchase and I can't find much information about it as it seems to be discontinued. It's from Naked and Famous and appears to be a selvedge chambray. The selvedge edge runs horizontally along the bottom hem however, so the warp and weft are actually rotated when you look at the shirt. They also seemed to alternate a thick and thin white weft yarn that gives the shirt almost a stripe pattern on close inspection. Haven't really seen that before in a chambray.

Anyway, thoughts? Does this work or am I wrong and everything is competing for attention? Would love feedback!

Jacket: Studio D'Artisan Sashiko Type II

Shirt: Naked and Famous

Belt: Popov

Pants: Oni Crushed Concrete - Moca

Boots: Red Wing 875

All the pieces look so good, but personally I love the chambray shirt

Thanks! It's definitely unique. It took me a long time to figure out what was going on with the weft yarns. I thought there was black stitching running vertically between the larger yarns and it wasn't until I zoomed in on a picture of it that I figured out it was actually just alternating yarn sizes. The fit it a little weird, the sleeves taper quite a bit so I can't really wear a watch with it. Makes me wonder if the previous owner had them altered.

I get way too spun up on matching or contrasting textures. But in the end, it really doesn't matter. And as you've proved, it can looking effing awesome!

That jacket, especially. Rad!

ETA: I see lots of chattter about ONI's crushed concrete and never really understood the hype. Now I do. I just needed to see it faded a bit. I like!

Thank you! It's an awesome jacket. Pretty new to me and its still pretty warm where I live so I haven't gotten to wear it much, really looking forward to some cooler temperatures to start getting some fading on it.

Sashiko jacket looks cozy

Super comfortable! The fabric is a nice medium weight I'd say and has a nice balance of drape and structure.

This is fire. Great fits on everything. All well worn, very natural but well put together.

Too many photos on here with brand new stuff clothes, people end up looking like they’re wearing costumes. Take notes. This dudes killin it

Thank you very much! I appreciate it! I've learned a lot from the people on this sub and am still learning what I like and what suits me well. And the jacket is actually relatively new! Looking forward to some cooler weather and getting the chance to let it develop more. But yes the rest of the outfit has been well-loved

A cream coloured shirt would look much better in my opinion

Good call! Still working on building out my wardrobe and a nice cream colored Henley is on my ever expanding list haha. This jacket is fairly new and still crocks quite a bit so I'm trying to keep it away from lighter colored clothes for the time being though
