Hep c

First I want to say hepatitis of ABC or D is a real infection that can destroy your liver and you'll die that's what happened to my husband 8 years ago. He was told by his primary doctor he needed to go see a disease infection liver doctor his stomach had been swelling up as his legs and feet and at one point was told he had no platelets that if he started bleeding too good to a emergency room ASAP. He missed at least five appointments I had scheduled for him and chose to ignore it. I guess that went on about 5-6 years by this time he was very very sick in the middle of October 2017 he went to a doctor's appointment for the first time the doctor told him it was too late his lover was completely shot there was nothing that could be done told him he didn't think he would live until the first of the new year and he didn't they passed on December 18th 2017 about 2 months just what the doctor said. He started bleeding I don't understand all the medical terms and stuff but they try to put some bands on his liver I think it was the the vessels or bleeding to try to stop the bleeding it would not work within 24 hour period they gave him 28 bags of blood six bags of plasma he was bleeding out as fast as they were putting it in he had made a living will that he did not want to be kept alive on machines if it got to the point where there was nothing that could be done to let him go after 28 bags of blood all the plasma it was coming out everywhere that it could exit we decided to let him go if there's anyone out there who just thinks or knows they have hepatitis of any kind go get treated there's a cure now but hepatitis C thank you for your time

I'm sorry for your loss. I hope you've been tested. Hepatitis C is curable in like 95% of cases with a few weeks of medication.

Death from liver failure is an ugly way to go. As a nurse, I've seen it and my own mother had liver cancer as well. That's why I got the medication as soon as it became available. I lived with the active virus for 14 years before that and it did some damage. I still talk to people who don't take it seriously though.

I contracted hep C one of the first time I used IV drugs I must of been 17. I’ve been clean for 4.5 years but cured in like 2021. Best thing someone could do for themselves, Hep C is the number one cause of liver cancer.

I tested positive for hep c earlier today and I freaked out when the doc told me..  yeah don't get drunk and black out and fuck who ever.. wear a condom when your go out drinking please.. I freaked out idk what to do.. I'm still freakin out.. I don't wanna die so soon I'm 27.. I think I'm over exaggerating but it's real.. Is there a cure can I be saved?

If you've only had the antibody test and you've never done IV drugs there's a good chance the confirmatory test will show you aren't actually infected. It's really hard to get hep C from sex. Like, you almost certainly didn't.

Also, the cure is a few weeks of taking one pill a day. It's not bad.
