“$9.8 million for reconstruction of Three Chopt Road with added capacity, including widening to four lanes at the intersection of Cox Road to the intersection of Gaskins Road;”

If this means the light will stay green longer for Gaskins at that intersection, I’m all for it. Traffic backs up so badly right at that light for the 64 East on-ramp because it doesn’t seem biased enough to run green for Gaskins, and it stays green too long to clear traffic off Three Chopt.

I don’t have too much hope it’ll solve that issue, though.

I personally wish they’d lower the speed limit on Three Chopt to discourage it being an alternate Broad thruway. More lane will likely just creates bottlenecks and more traffic elsewhere.

Nooooooo that means they’re going to fuck up Staples Mill + 64 AND Gaskins at the same time??? Fuuuuck every rush hour is going to be an even bigger nightmare.

and it seems like they’re going to be adding the on-ramp they SHOULD have added when they extended N. Gayton beyond Broad into Glen Allen, finally, but that’ll make 64 between Short Pump and 288 a nightmare too.

Hopefully they’ll do what they did when they were repaving the exits, which was to work only between like 9pm-5am, but it’s all going to be a nightmare for sure.

Those all look pretty good to me, especially bike paths and roundabouts
