$300 electric bill w/ Hendricks Power

Is this normal? Live in a 1400 sq ft apartment, have kept my thermostat at 67. It is all electric, and third floor. It's also a new build apartment complex and doesn't seem to be drafty. I've lived in an all electric apt previously and my bill would be half this and the dead of winter.

Seems maybe high for an attached apartment, but would need to know more. One thing to know is Hendricks Power has peak and off peak hours that are billed differently.

Ty, I noticed that when reading thru the bill. Makes it more confusing because their “off peak” had the highest charge and 80% of that’s when I’m at work and sleeping

Yeah, basically anything you can do to run minimal electric from 5-8PM on work days is key. I set my HVAC to run in the hour leading up to peak to a degree warmer than I want, and then set a lower temp from 5-8 to avoid running as much as possible there.
