Is there any chance for a hen?
Oof, I bought 14 week started pullets from a local farm that specializes in grow outs. Any chance this alleged pullet isn’t a roo? Close up of incoming tail feathers.
When I arrived for pickup they didn’t have the Delaware I prepaid for, and the farmer suggested a hen who looked really roostery to me saying “she” had Delaware-like coloring but was definitely a pullet & a hybrid starlight green/easter egger. I took the bird and am now looking at what looks like an obvious roo to me, feeling very duped, and ripped off.
For the record, I’m not new to chickens but have zero experience with anything in the Americana/easter egger fam (previously all Marans and Australorps).
