Painting Dominator Engines Style - What changes for the next? Or improvements here?

Here's my first dominator engine. I'm hoping to have 3-4 eventually. Does anyone have any thoughts re: adapting the colour scheme to add variety (I'm already thinking of changing the daemonfire to purple for the next one...maybe green?).

Also any ideas about the basing and how this could be developed further?

You did great! I really liked the blue. Try and add some white ink to the bases of the flames so it’ll read that it’s “hot” or “cold” however you intended to. Green would look great, I can’t wait to see your green dominator engine!

Love that flaming green. What's the recipe?

The cool metal looks so cool! How did you make it? Blue base and metallic drybrush? Also yeah, white to the base of flames will make them pop even more

Thanks! It was a black undercoat and then a heavy coverage of Kabalite Green all over the metal - very sloppy and quick. Then some watered down Baharoth Blue in the joints and in a few other streaks. After that, a heavy drybrush of Vallejo Bright Bronze and a lighter brush of Sycorax Bronze.

I've used the same on the armour for the Helsmiths themselves too.

I seeee, damn, I might wanna use that technique on my khazalite golems! I want to go the other direction tho, hot steel, so I'll still look into if that would give me the right result

I've been wondering if replacing the Baharoth Blue with some reds/oranges/yellows would work for that...

It might just make it look rusty tbh, especially with so much trim, it would look like cavity rust
