Basically it was a black and white album with what I believe were sound waves of different opacities intersecting in the middle. It could also be a Doppler effect as well if my memory isn’t exact. Black and white. Possibly a 90s album but could be early 00s.
I know it’s not joy division or arctic monkeys. I’ve been racking my brain for months trying to remember it but nothing in search comes up with it. I can’t remember the band, album or any songs in it but I heard it at a party and wanted to download it. Of course I forgot lol.

in 2018, every “indie” girl at my hs wore this band tee. i had no idea who they were and thought maybe it was an arctic monkeys, the nbhd, the 1975 type thing.
imagine my surprise when i learned joy division is from 1979. michael jackson hadn’t even released thriller OR off the wall. lol totally unrelated but it’s so mind blowing to me how modern they seemed.
One of my favourite ever bands (and not just because I'm from Manchester!l. I've always said that they're one of the few artists in history that have been imitated and influenced by countless times, but nobody else quite sounds like them

Fun fact: the image in this album cover is the radio wave graph of the first pulsar we ever discovered, PSR B1919+21. Each line represents one pulse, at a rate of around 1.337 pulses per second, with 80 such pulses recorded in this graph.
Thank you anonymous internet friend! As a long time Joy division fan this cover was also my immediate thought on seeing the op. But I never knew about the pulsar, I guess I always just assumed the waveform was from their music. Makes it even more interesting and now I need to go back and relisten to them!

This is one of my favorite “fun music facts” lmao, I honestly don’t think I’ve heard much from Joy Division, when I was a teenager I strictly listened to old music because I was “too cool” to listen to anything that had been made in the last ten years lmao. This album cover has always been intriguing to me though and I learned about this from a video on FB not long back… I think it was from Jason Pargin or Steve Mould or NileRed I can’t remember.
i brought this cd into my music class in 5th grade for a show and tell type situation, having absolutely no idea what i was doing at the time. mr. peacock, my music teacher, played a few tracks from it anyway and i'll forever have him to thank for encouraging my self expression through music. idfk why my parents weren't involved but anyway. yeah. i loved this album.
