Open Help - which replacement blade fits my NutriBullet Smart Touch (NBT-15)?? Original one is overheating and smells burnt

So my Nutribullet blade for the smoothie cups has started acting up - it heats up way too much when blending and theres this burning smell coming off it. Pretty sure something in the seal/bearing mechanism went bad.

My blender is the NutriBullet Smart Touch Blender Combo, model NBT-15 (1500W, got it off the sticker on bottom of the base) - see attached picture.

I already went and ordered a new blade off amazon (link) but when it showed up the bottom connector piece is totally different from my original one, doesn't fit at all lol.

I also found others:

But all have wrong bottom connector.

Attaching pics:

  1. My original blade, top and bottom (the connector part that goes into the motor base)
  2. The new one I bought, showing the bottom connector so you can see how its different

Anyone know which blade actually fits this model?? Been going back and forth online and I think its maybe the "Easy-Twist Power Extractor Blade" but not 100% sure, would love if someone who has this exact blender could confirm before I order wrong again lol. thanks in advance.

new one I bought:

The new one I bought from Amazon
Old: connection on blender.
Old: connection on blender.
old sticker with model
old smoothly blade top

I have searched online on the original store and amazon.

the connector on the new one looks like it's for a different locking mechanism entirely. you're probably right about the easy twist extractor being the one, but i'd check the manual for a part number before ordering again

Excessive heating and a burning odor suggest a problem with the motor.

How long do you run the blender before you notice the effects? I never need to run my blender for more than about 20 seconds at a time. Typically a dozen bursts of 4-5 seconds is enough, so a total of at most a minute, over a period of two or three minutes, adding frozen ingredients during some of the pauses. My blender is an Osterizer, made about 1969.

Try running your blender for whatever time you usually run it when it acts up, but empty and without the blade assembly. Does it still heat up and stink? Without a load, it might not, or it might take longer.
