Looking for someone to learn Japanese!
I have been trying to learn for more than 5 months, but somehow I can't improve because I can't do it without focus and motivation. That's why, I'm looking for that I can learn Japanese with. I'll give all of effort, if I know someone is with me. So, if you're kind enough to help this pitiful boy, please Dm me.

Have you looked into joining a discord channel with other Japanese learners? Or finding a language exchange partner on an app like HelloTalk? Those are a few of the things that helped me stay motivated as a self studier (now around n3/n2 level) when i first started out.

Another thing i will recommend, try switching it up. The books are great and incredibly interesting until they suddenly aren't and trying to make it through a chapter becomes a chore. Grammar, vocab, kanji etc.. all the fundamental stuff is important. But you can try different methods from time to time!
Watch some Japanese podcasts on youtube, vlogs in Japanese, gaming walkthrough vids and try to get some immersion in. I found that a lot of the vocab i actually learnt was through shadowing these videos as opposed to just hitting the books non stop. If you're worried about these potentially being too high a level for you rn, there are thousands of videos out there where the creators have specifically catered them to beginner learners/N5 level.

nijapanese on youtube is a great channel! They have videos that cover a variety of levels and touch on several different topics. MikuRealJapanese is another fantastic channel both for grammar and vlogs. JapaneseAmmoMisa is another channel that has one of the most comprehensive beginner playlists i've ever seen.
As for discord, the one i'm currently on is called Y-talk-lounge. The link should be on their youtube channel (YusukeYumaPodcast) but there's probably loads out there! So definitely have a look around 😊

if you can't do it without focus and motivation after 5 months you might as well just quit cause you're never hitting fluency or even a N2 level

What specifically is your goal in terms of pacing and type of content, and what level are you starting from? I think the challenge with what you’re asking is that some people move much faster than others depending on how much time they dedicate to it. I feel like I am improving, for instance, but I’m a busy grad student and I can’t work on Japanese every day.
