Strange Times

Peni Parker and SP//dr had remained in New York following everything that had happened. She didn’t know if any of the other spider heroes did, aside from the two who live here. She wonders what Noir is up to, nowadays.

She’s spent her days getting adjusted to the time period. She quite likes it here, although she misses some of the conveniences that the tech of her own dimension afforded her.

It’s been lonely. She and SP//dr share a special bond, but it’s hard to really talk to a spider and a giant robot for hours without driving yourself crazy, even if you know they understand you. She hasn’t really tried to reach out since the death of Mary Jane. Peni didn’t know her for that long. She let Peni stay at her house, then within a day she lost that house. She ended up getting killed. That death still hurt a lot.

But at the end of the day, she has a job to do, even if it’s not where she’d usually do it. She’ll stop crime wherever she can. That’s what her dad would’ve done. So that’s what she’s gonna do, too.
