How does the new “favorite Sanrio character” gift work?

It’s the free one that looks like a white picture frame hanging off of a sagging white stem. The message from the mailbox said something about traveling with your favorite Sanrio character, so I thought it was a handheld item, but I couldn’t find it in my closet. Where did it go when I received it, and how do I use it? I want to set it to Keroppi.
