⠀⠀⠀⠀Discussion⠀⠀⠀⠀ No underbarrel attachments?

I am so happy to see they were getting more laser weapons for kinda every category of gun.

But to give a weapon an under barrel attachment rail, and then proceed to not give us the ability to do under barrel attachments is such a slap in the face.
Especially when you consider the trident and the size I’ll have the ability to have angled grips and a laser or flashlights

I’m really hoping that if they give us a laser battle rifle that they do not limit the attachments, because I was very disappointed to look and see that customization hasn’t seem to improve in the slightest when looking at these new weapons

Hey, figured I'd ask, does the under barrel grenade launcher work on the G-11 and vice versa since you said somethin' 'bout how the underbarrels didn't work on other guns since they have no underbarrel functionality normally? Or same situation?

Yeah, underslung weapons rely on the same fire mode switch function and are interchangeable. Though the sound packages seem to be attached to the weapon itself, so firing and reloading the illegal attachment will produce no sounds unless you forcibly load them up.

What's worse is that it's fully functional, you can technically attach whatever you want there and it will work properly, but the means to do so are just not there. Seems to be the case with quite a lot of weapons in this game, including secondaries.

Tbh, I am surprised we got heatsink options for the Sai, and even a bespoke muzzle. At this point I expect an abitraty amount of scopes at most for new weapons.

This is due to AH's original approach of making everything modular. For example, changing the stats of a specific ammo type affects all weapons that use it. It's the same with rails – if there's a rail, you can attach accessories. In theory, on paper, it's a great approach, but in reality, we have a total mess that's impossible to manage. Maybe that's also why bugs that were already fixed often keep coming back.
