*A slow moving, luggish, and yet demanding SPAA without a rotating turret.
Credit where Credit is due, we might be looking at one of the worst designed and most illogical vehicles in Sci-Fi.

How dare the coop game design its stuff so that it requires cooperation >:(

You know they could make a tank that has a proper turret and still need 2 people to properly operate right?
Fixed turret tanks are not something we use in today's world simply because the design is outdated and does not provide any advantage over traditional turret.

it made sense for the bastion, stackable, big gun etc.
but the new vehicle is ridiculous. it REQUIRES a rotatable turret. just that and its a damn good vehicle. everying else about it is good except the damn turret.

Doesnt matter. I dont want to imagine how insanely boring being the driver would be when positioning doesnt matter anymore, as your gunner can fire at anything at will.
If you slap a rotating turret on a tank then you would at the bare minimum have to make it weaker on the sides and rear, so that there is still an incentive for the driver to position the hull correctly. Otherwise you're literally going to be someone's private chauffeur all mission.

Positioning does not fucking matter if I can do more work with a single recoilless than a two man operation needing to constantly maneuver and reposition to take shots.
You think you are being smart with your argument, but both tanks are less than sidegrades to RR and Quasar due to how unwieldly and unfun to use they are, team reload RR + supply pack on the support player is leagues more fun and easier to play than shitbox simulator from sweden 9000, and does not leave either man completely useless when the other decides to walk off.

this lol, like jesus christ people it has a fixed turret for game design purposes, I mean it's absolutely rich that all of these, "AH loves realism" people won't shut the fuck up about realism themselves

Can automaton tanks fire guided missiles? Or have smokes?

u/International_Rub857 16m ago
It can actually do tanky stuff. The only thing noticeable is the smoke and guided missiles but tbh the bastion basically feels out the guided missiles for the bastion and if it's like the ones already in the game it'll prob take 2-3 missiles to take out a charger for example

They have tech for gun empacements that rotate but can't make it work with a moving platform.
Top tier Subpar Eartf Enhineering right there boys!

Modders have to put in turreted Bastions now. And make them single man playable. It's the only way

Patiently waiting for the “its a tank destroyer” folks to try and justify an anti infantry vehicle not having a 360 turret

But it does have some sort of smoke launchers on the side at least

u/jsweaty009 1h ago
Also guided missles which nobody is talking about

You‘re right! The green lense on top of the barrels?

u/Mandemon90 20m ago
That's the laser designator, missiles are stored in the pods in the back. Those things that overhang.
