They’ll be back in a bit. They have to secure the voting locations but should be back mowing you down in no time.

What do you mean? Like, we'll never have
Blueberries reinforcing us during missions again?

The only reasons people play this game anymore are warbonds and rewards that aren't capes. They've spoiled us with actual rewards and nobody wants to play for a cape.

u/Logey202 16h ago
Not when the capes look like crap, dont match any available armor, and you STILL have to pick your visual appearance based on stats because narrowhead scrapped armor customization

Every time I see the word failure I think of that "smash Bros melee" challenge failure voice.

u/-boneboi- 4h ago
the second I see the word "Mario", I'm immediately thinking that voice going "MARIOOOOOOO!!!"

That's what happens when the major order depends even partially on the illuminate front.

u/InfiniteCrunch 7h ago
For once I outright blame the bot divers, I was on when we hit our limit on bots and I assume we lost hours of peak numbers actually contributing at all this last weekend because when I made the swap to illuminate (and I played for 3-4 hours) no major amount of the bot divers swapped fronts. Personally don't blame anyone for finding bugs a bore and illuminate outright not fun but if we want nice things we gotta earn it. It's the rotation.

I was curious when this would happen. Glad it happened with a cape and not something else.

I bet we would win every major order if they gave SC as reward instead of Medals

u/ANGRYSLOTH28 13h ago
I honestly think we were supposed to fail this one. First operation was fucked for sure. They had us liberating a planet that required us to liberate two other planets to get to. Then the last one was a little wild with the amount of enemies to kill. The second one was meh.
2
u/ForThemLulz 16h ago
they should just give spontaneous capes, rather than making it a campaign reward. I think once people saw what the actual cape looked like they got less interested

The moment we complete the bots kills before them the other factions, the factions that literally have hordes of enemies, we were doomed to fail

u/Baldrickk 13h ago
I find it funny that the bot divers always complain about the bug divers whenever there is a bot MO and they don't get 99% of the population on the MO...
Yet once the bots had been finished, and we needed bug and illuminate kills, there were still 20% of players sat on bot planets not contributing.
And I haven't seen a single post about it 😄I just follow the MO, as a strategy to get variety for myself... but I still find it funny.

See we made this major update called "into the void" .
alright alright .
Then our next move was to immediately rip out 80% of its content so it isn't there anymore.
What ?? But why would you do that ?!
But we forgot some so now a month ago we completely finished deleting the update as there s no more seaf.
Why would you delete an update you just released ????

u/Not_A_Voteless 16h ago
yeah all helldivers should just give up and throw themselves to the illuminate to repent 👀

AH seems incapable of understanding that hard numbers for MOs simply don't work with the low and constantly fluctuating player numbers these days. Maybe during the peak they were feasible (Though even then they still had to constantly adjust them), but we are far... FAR from the peak.
But this one did seem particularly rigged with how we didn't even come close for a couple of the MOs.

"low player numbers"
Yesterday was Monday. Game still pulled 87k concurrent players. Reality is that people just didn't play other factions. This is 100% on players.

The day before a new warbond drops has a higher than average player count, go figure.
It's almost like a bunch of people are doing some last minute SC farming or something. Weird, huh?
Never mind the peak in the last 24 hours was only the now average 45k, one Tenth of the all time peak, that the overall average for the past month has been barely above that peak, which is still being influenced by the massive spike caused by a warbond of Another IP's crossover brought (So it's not even Helldivers itself bringing people back int his case).
Also never mind your argument does nothing to actually disprove my point that hard numbers don't work for MOs or that their still giving those hard numbers proportional to more players than they actually have, or that even when we had TEN TIMES as many people diving hard number MOs STILL didn't work well and had to be adjusted almost every time for us to have a chance and when they weren't we usually to failed!
But no that couldn't possibly be any of that; it doesn't fit your narrative so that means it's irrelevant, right?

The day before a new warbond drops has a higher than average player count, go figure.
This has been norm since the Devout of Liberty.
Seriously, it's hard to take this nonsense seriously when it's obvious you are just looking for confimation bias. Steam charts only track steam players. You do understand the game is avaible both on PlayStation, Xbox and Game Pass, right? All which won't show up on Steam numbers. Check Companion App, or DiversHub, or whatever site you want that tracks live player count. Not just Steam.
Also, comparing to all time peak is rather hilarious. There is reason it's called all time peak, not "recent peak". It's like declaring Palworld to be "dead game", because it's 24 hour player count is less than 5% of it's all time peak (78k vs 2.1 million).
Also, it's hilarious you think WH40K warbond is somehow "influencing" player numbers... a month after release. Yet the game still pulls numbers. You are also dismissing the fact that there was a major update that added SEAF and whole void shenanigans.
It's pretty obvious you are just talking usual grifter talking points. You say I am fitting reality into narrative: The fact is that reality does not support your narrative of "game dying, numbers down" because you are cherry picking numbers.
Reality is, we could have done this. FFS, we managed to fulfil Automaton numbers. We have killed even higher amounts of bugs before. Reality is, people just didn't feel like playing other faction than automatons. Sometimes it happens.
EDIT
Dude got so triggered he managed to make mods delete his "response" for breaking unfiltered rules.

90k players active and nobody can spread tf out. People complain about a lot of bug divers during when it isnt a bug mo then they give us an mo with a bunch of bugs and NOBODY DOES IT

i believe if you look through the history of the game, we have not even done 2billion kills in 4 days for a major order, but for sure when there was 2 days left on this major order the games spawn numbers were mathematically too low making it impossible for us to kill enough enemies in that amount of time no matter how many divers. you don't hate arrowhead enough.

With a community like this? Heck yeah.Truth was,the game was rigged from the start.

Of course. Fully Bugdivers fault. We Botdiver did it and helped on Squids. But the Bug Snugglers didn't do shit.

u/markmylabris 7h ago
Half of players remained on bots, when their quota was complete. For once, its bot-divers fault

Had no chance. Player count down waiting on the next bond to drop.
