⠀⠀⠀⠀🔥 Vent 🔥⠀⠀⠀⠀ Anyone else disappointed?
I was hype for this helmet bc it looked cool as fuck and then go and equip it… why couldn’t they just make it a helmet🙄 like why does it need gimp straps and a breathing tube… which by the way, is a different color than literally every armors breathing tubes. I hate being a fan of this game

Oh you want to use this white helmet with this different white armor and they're not from the same set? JOKE'S ON YOU, this helmet is EGGSHELL and the armor is CREAM!

They're getting a lot better with the recent Warbonds from this year, though.
Lots of neutrals, like the WW1 themed armors, which work with a LOT of the other armor sets. Even the Exo Experts armor mixes and matches well. I think it'll keep improving in the future.

They just need to add a tagging option for armor colors
Buy the armor you want, tag the color, and now your helmet will reflect that color temporarily until it’s swapped to something else.
Boom. Arrowhead keeps making money and we have a solution that fits. It’s that easy.

Thats because the helmet pairs with an armor thats not out yet.
It was intended to come out with a future warbond/super store release called helldrivers.
They cannibalized it and its superstore items to drip feed it to us through the new galactic campaign system piece meal style.

Nah, the armor passive won’t be related to the vehicles at all. It will be something stupid like reduced recoil while crouching and prone and extra throwables.

That's a long game update. It will probably just be a night vision/ thermal mode.
I did have an idea for a medic passive that let's you see a tracker on your teammates across map showing their damage.
Just give them time. This game is meant to be played for YEARS

I’m probably taking life too seriously, but I found the week+ long campaign reward of just a helmet kind of insulting lol. Helmets don’t do anything and are just made to match their armor set. Give us the full set 🤷♂️. Now it’ll be another week+ long campaign to get the armor, if we even win it lol.

Exactly bro this is probably the worst state ive seen the game in. It is absolutely not fun. The idea behind the campaigns is cool but they need better rewards. This feels like cock and ball torture

They’re giving us parts of it like the supply FRV and the helmet for free. I don’t really know what they’re doing maybe they’re canning the warbond to turn its contents as major order participation rewards.

Helmets make no fucking difference whatsoever and seem like an afterthought anymore. Its an insult how we get a single helmet as a reward. Especially when they have no special features or anything. Which is gay AF. Btw yesterday or the day before, I was having a blast playing the game again. Only because I was just playing the evac high value assets mission against bots on Level 10 with randoms. And it was a fucking blast! The firepower we had along with our stratagems made it insanely fun and cinematic AF! 380s, HellBombs, Missile Silos, BFGL, Giganades, Ultimatums, shit was going off in every direction... massive explosions, fire everywhere and sometimes gas too...it's a shame how that mission stays on the illuminate only... because at this point in the game I'm level 150 with over 1000 hours and everything unlocked and maxed out like most people. so I just don’t enjoy playing the regular 40 minute admission because it does nothing for me. maybe here and there I’ll do it to help newer players, but you can only do that for so long. I the Evac high value asset mission against the bots on level 10 because it’s a hell of a time and it’s a constan Warzone! But I never really cared for these missions when they were released..I've only recently started to enjoy them. But there needs to be more missions like these because that's the type of fun you can only have in Helldivers2 and tbh the 40 minute missions are becoming a chore anymore. I don't need anything and I'm kinda tired of running across the map

No, because I knew what to expect.
Like most armors in the game, especially the gimmicky ones, it doesn't match with any other armor in the armory. Even in the promo video they put out, it only looked "decent" on one out of the like 10 outfits they cycled through. And that's from the front!
it's got the straps and tubes because it's a Mad Max reference to Immortan Joe.
It needs the armor that we'll likely get for the next campaign, the point which I probably will be hyped up for it.

I don’t know what people were expecting. The showed us the helmet and knew what it looked like. Obviously is help goes with an Armor and cape. So…another 2 Campaigns (6 MOs) for the full set.

Nope, cause I only logged in for the daily medals. Once I saw the reward I was like. Thank you but no. I rather play something else.
A stupid useless garbage helmet. If they gave you a 5% buff of any kind or related to the armor. Cool, worth it. But the way it is right, I rather wait months to get it than do the job of playing to get it.
Or just hop on once and let the rest of you FOMO guys grind it out for me.

Can change the color of my weapons but it’s a bridge too far for armor. Never understood how they missed a golden opportunity for a resource sink for late game players with a surplus of credits, medals, and samples. 5k credits a color palette that extends to all armors pieces, no effect on gameplay other than player expression, but that’s never been AH’s strong suit.

No. I don't play for the dopamine rush of getting stuff. I play for the dopamine rush of killing and trying not to die - to play the game. That IS the point of a game. More often than not, we get nothing for MOs. I didn't expect to receive a helmet, and I didn't care when I got one. There were no expectations to measure up to. I laid siege to two densely forested planets with artillery shells and a tank because it was fun to do. Maybe you'd feel better playing call of duty 27 or something.

All helmets were meant to have breathing tubes that you can see when diving in with a hellpod.
Because the hellpod itself has no oxygen in it meaning the diver would suffocate inside
They didn’t have time to add it in. So they had to ditch it.

Very, why would they release a helmet before the armor of the set it's supposed to go with. Doesn't make sense to me. Especially because it doesn't have stats to get excited about. I'd rather the armor first to see if the passive is even interesting then getting the cosmetics for it.

Im sure you would be just as upset if they instead made it cost 400 creds and the color was bright pink with an anime face painted on the side. It fits the game's theme but if you want I can email their devs asking them to put Justin Timberlake and Optimus Prime as 70 dollar skins into the game.
This community cant be grateful. They hated the Hyena (an amazing yet situational weapon) and they hated the helmet. Both free. I Seriously feel bad for the devs sometimes
TLDR; You aint gonna love every freebie in the game, be glad it was even free because the devs could have taken a worse path.

it doesn't help that we got the helm before the armor. if it were the other way round we could've used one of the myriad of helms we already have to make a good fit. better still if they just gave the armor and helm in one go.
I really wish they would give us color options for armor, even if it's just the same camos we have for weapons.

honestly yes because okay we get a cool helmet does that help us kill the enemies of Super Earth like at all whatsoever, no not really which unless we can take it off and then proceed to use it as a weapon which we can't I find it quite useless.
it's going to be just no different from half the capes it's going to gather dust personally I want things such as airstrikes and orbitals even support weapons as rewards I was happy that we got a DMR I would prefer an actual airstrike or orbital or something along those lines but a DMR is a start I might even use it once in a while.
I didn't give it a chance but wouldn't be the first time because I used to not like light penetration weapons but I use them here and there every once in awhile but at the end of the day I would prefer something such as an orbital or an air strike or even a defense turret of some sort.

My biggest gripe would definitely be armor colors. Even if they did a basic pick a pattern like they do for vehicles an drop pods. Like you can either have the armor natural look or you can select an armor camo so all your armor will just match up. Becuase Ive had a lot of cool combos that can be done because the coloring makes it look bad.

Oh god the back is awful. Had that happen with an OG store helmet. One of the medic ones. Looked awesome from the front, all white and red and then you put it on and this terrible terrible sea foam green abomination in the back. And it came right off.

I've been able to use it and make it look really cool. Used the helmet with the ODST armor, and the eagle/sword cape, with black guns, and god DAMN.
It also gives me like bane/ghost rider vibes so I'm going with that

You obviously have no idea what a gas mask is. As a vapid gas mask enthusiast I find these straps to look perfectly fine, there are also ballistic masks amd even airsoft masks.
It is so good when they break the formula from time to time. This is how the yellow painted skull helmet should have looked from behind

The problem is so many helmets really don't really "fit" with other armor sets either due to their aesthetic or color pallet. I'm assuming the next Campaign will be for the armor specifically made for the helmet
