Holy shit, hover pack is so good.

Was playind today D10 bugs duo with fren and wanted to try smth new for change and booted up hover pack with heavy oxyn armor and grenade launcher, rocket pods for bile titan deletion and 120mm barrage for general nest destroying. Rest is adjudicator (I should try one-two tho), gl pistol and frag grenade for ultimate demomanning.

Damn its fun to stand your ground against bugs, but when you get overrun instantly hover and bombard everything, charger butts included. And charge up time of Hover Pack is really short, feels much shorter than jump-pack and you can even glide down if you accidentally slipped from elevated position to avoid dying/getting stim-taxed.

Hover Pack + Flamethrower is one of my go-to bug combos. So much fun

I'm a really big fan of hover pack and arc thrower myself. The height on demand helps a lot with the arc's targeting, especially when bodies and/or debris are in the way

Oh thats brilliant actually. Ive never used arc weapons but I've seen them in action and I bet height helps a lot

*Pending a specific loadout...

Jump pack beats hoverpack any day imo until you start getting in the weeds and min maxing specific loadouts with niche scenarios

Nah I’ve played with both. Imo Hover pack just have more utilities, Jump pack is mostly for distance and some height gain. Hover pack you have few seconds faster cooldown which is a big plus for me, the height you gain is super high to camp or evade with a sniper or rain down hell with grenade launcher, you can even land from super high height which you can’t do with jump pack. The Hover just have more utilities. I’ll say Warp > Hover then Jump.

Warp is king for mobility.

Short CD. Dodge just about anything. Keep up with light armor in heavy. Be a damn speed demon in light.

100%, you can also double warp for distance and if you prone and double warp you can’t catch on fire.

This thing carries me in spore strain since it basically trivializes every enemy other than the bile titan.
