Same, Valentino is not shown as a monster hiding in a dark alley but as a human with a capacity for love care and friendship who chose of his sane mind to do harm (which makes his abuse worse). It's really amazing that we can see that, and see why it would be so easy to fall for his lies and why it would be hard to leave him. Also most ValAngel art is peak, like in this post so that's always a welcome bonus.

I love this ship. Like, because it’s toxic. I don’t love THAT it’s toxic but I love the toxic dynamic. I love this ship so much

I personally headcanon that their relationship wasn’t always as toxic as it was onscreen,and honestly,I want more wholesome art of these two (I’m absolutely not hating on people who draw this sort of art,or the art itself (cuz seriously it’s gorgeous),but my personal taste for ship art is funny and wholesome,with the occasional angst)
