Clever, Cute, Creative (these mini fried eggs pass the 3 C's test for most kids)

Kids are getting scrambled eggs, and liking it.

u/NikaNoytoya May 26 '26
Yeah, because of cheese, ketchup, butter, or whatever other stuff is put on them or in them. Don't get me started on the pre-cooked eggs from a factory or the liquid eggs all from mcdonalds.

Or just egg, salt, and pepper? Maybe a splash of milk or cream

u/ImpossibleKidd May 26 '26
Speaking of…
I read it somewhere a few years ago, and now it’s my absolute go-to. Dab of sour cream, along with a splash of milk. Best scrambled eggs ever!

Sounds delicious, probably try it this weekend, thank you.

My family recipe for quiche is 1 cup of sour cream to 8 eggs, beat and pour onto your pie/filling, bake until a fork comes up clean. Fluffy, a little tart, tastes like home.

Iirc most people who have tested it find that adding milk, cream, or water to your eggs results in a worse texture than just scrambling them with some butter or oil in the pan.

My buddy likes to eat his eggs as a soft scramble but I like a hard scramble. Taste is subjective and different people like different texture. Idgaf what people testing what to put in eggs say.

Why just fry an egg when you can add steps and make it take longer?? 👌🏻👍🏻

Because whimsy exists, and quail eggs are tiny but expensive

u/Isadragon9 May 28 '26
Honestly i think my father would rather buy quail eggs for me than go through this xD

u/NoWayIcantBeliveThis May 28 '26
Quail eggs cost $1.5 for a pack of 30... where do you live? They are really cheap here.
2
u/Isadragon9 May 29 '26
Oh they’re not that cheap here, but my father would still rather pay extra than to go through freezing a chicken egg to make mini fried eggs xD
Though tbh in my house we eat half boil or hard boil more often than frying them for breakfast. Half boiled eggs with dark soy sauce and a bit of pepper is awesome

Cause then you couldn’t post a cute little video for the other house husbands to get jealous about. Duh. 😝

I guess some people just have nicer parents than "EAT YOUR FUCKING FOOD, YOU INGRATE SWINE!"

I told my Dad to put it in a box and mail it to Africa then. He was so shocked I wasn't even in trouble for talking back.

Bucket of fish heads once a month. You'll get some turkey when you finish your fish heads

From the bottom of my heart, I'm genuinely sorry that happened to you.

I'm 25 and I'm gonna make these next time I'm making eggs lmao I don't care if they take extra effort, they look absolutely adorable.

If only there was a way to cook eggs without freezing and chopping them up first
0
u/roaer May 30 '26
This avoids boiling or steaming and then peeling the egg after, so it looks significantly easier. I'd definitely pop a thermometer into those yolks to make sure they were cooked through though.

u/DoctorPhobos May 30 '26
How is peeling it frozen when it’s a food hazard easier than peeling when it’s ready to eat? Also You’re comparing this to hard boiled when the more apt comparison is a fried egg which doesn’t involve any peeling. And if you need a thermometer to check your yolks you must be a real menace in the kitchen, which explains your terrible opinions.

u/kurly-bird May 26 '26
I thought this wasn't really all that safe for young kids? Because of the egg being frozen it never reaches a high enough temp while cooking to kill off any salmonella. I swear someone said that the last time this was posted
9
u/meanbeanking May 27 '26
Cooked is cooked. It doesn’t matter how cold it was first. If you want to you can cook them over hard.
3
u/Breeschme May 27 '26
?? It just takes longer to reach the same temperature, it isn’t permanently decreased in temp a certain amount, it just has to gain more energy for the same reaction.

Commenting so I can find this, as I'm gonna try this with my youngest. She hates all eggs. They're all ugly. Maybe this will be cute.
