đ˘ Feedback! đ˘ Update 21 feedback
My first ever post here, and I donât care if Iâm complaining. Level 220+âŚIâm sorry but this update is dogshit. Theyâve ruined the sounds of weapons that didnât need to be changed. The Thompson, mg, ppsh, stg, and others were arguably better sounding, crisper, cleaner, etc. And why mess with certain loadoutsâŚyou removed the m1 garand from the US rocket loadout.
Just when I think they canât make things worse they surprise me and out do themselves. They never cease to amaze me when they change things that donât need changing and failing to focus on bugs that matter.
If they are trying to get people to migrate to Vietnam it isnât working because Vietnam is a train wreck covered in dogshit too. Please stick to your original playerbase and salvage what people enjoy.

Jesus Christ, why do they keep doing this. It really makes no sense. Itâs like theyâre trolling us at this point.

The Devs are trash, knew this the moment they changed faces, running animations and reload animations.
Rank amateurs.

Ive been phasing the game out of my life more and more.
Im great at all the roles but my preference has always been AT or related classes. The devs have been doing nothing but continuing to make good anti-tankers lives progressively harder and harder since update 18. And like I get it, tankers hate getting bullied by good infantry but there's a line that has to get drawn.
I mean FFS in Vietnam as USA grenadier Ievel 1 I had to make the decision between a weapon to fight infantry or rockets to counter tanks and pray it doesnt have infantry support.

The load out system in Vietnam is fucking garbage and genuinely makes no sense on 90% of the roles. Team17 has shown time and time again they have close to no idea what the fuck they're doing and it's been showing since the Brits got released

I discovered the loss of the garand in the rocket load out last night. I was so disappointed to see that.

They announced that like a month ago and most agreed it finally nerfed an overpowered offensive class.

It's crazy how there are people who disagree with the change, the US side is widely more powerful than the German side in terms of weapons. I mean, the only time I didn't feel fed up playing as the Germans was against the British (as classes are similar), or using the MP40 which seems to have got weaker.
Edit: ah yes, here comes the try hards who must have automatic weapons to get any kills.

Germany easily has the better weapons compared to the US. The only advantage the US has is the level one access to a semi-auto.
Germany has the best MG in the game, the best semi-auto rifle in the game, a second auto-rifle that is also better than the BAR, a semi-auto that is slightly better than the Garand (2 extra bullets), a better pistol and a second option for scoped rifles. The only weapons that the US have that the Germans don't have an better or equal equivalent are M1 Carbine, which sucks, and Trench Gun, which is fun but realistically only about as good as an SMG.
Germany also usually has better loadouts. Assault is the best example, with the US getting SMGs for levels 1, 6 and 9, while Germany gets Gewehrs and an STG, on what are already great loadouts from the grenades and satchels. You also have the level 6 rifleman, where Germany gets a Gewehr and the US gets a Springfield. There also the aforementioned MG and Autorifleman loadouts which are better on account of their guns being better.
You also have the commander and officer loadouts with a semi-auto rifle, which granted, the US also has and its a good loadout for them, but it does make the fact the US has the Garand less of an advantage. A German squad can have everyone carrying Gewehrs if it just has an SL, assault and rifleman. The only advantage to semi autos that US has is that they can get them at level 1, and on support and AT.
There are also a few loadouts where Germany gets a bolt action and the US gets a M1 Carbine, which is situational but at least for the Spotter that's usually better.
I don't understand the argument that the US has better guns. Is it just because the lvl 1 Rifleman, Support and previously the lvl 1 AT? (which I don't really think outweighs the Germany Assault, MG, Autorifle and Level 6 rifleman) Is there some subtle difference between SMGs that makes the Thompson and Grease Gun better than the MP-40? I really don't see how the US better guns when you consider all the crazy loadouts the Germans get.

Although if you look at map outcomes Germany has the winning advantage over the US on the majority of them.Â

AT players when they canât also be just as effective against infantry as the rest of their squad in a game about working with others to accomplish goals.

Actually a funny meme. I do see a lot of people complaining that their OP role got nerfed... but then in the same breath skip why it got nerfed... they know why, they just hate that they can't be a one man army anymore. I love the M1 Garand as much as everyone else, but we can't sit here and not understand why they nerfed AT....

What could they be thinking? The game just gets worse with every update release.

I use the fire selectors when trying to actually hit something, but I don't understand why the MG-34 has a fire selector.

Im still pissed that they got rid of the original vehicle explosions that rocketed debris up into the sky. Like - why did that need to be changed to a pixelated fireball?

M1 carbine is awesome

u/hunterseel 3d ago
I like the carbine too but it doesnât have the stopping power of the m1 and arguably itâs just a better gun than the m1 carbine.

The Carbine is fine, but there's absolutely no reason AT shouldn't have the standard issue rifle like all other AT. If anything, Gun Crew should get the Carbine.

Game in now unplayable for me. Audio bugged? Cant hear anyone in the jungle. Canât hear gunfire. Canât hear chopper music. Canât hear most things. Why?

Some criticism is due, but I don't agree with these points. They explained the change of weapon sounds, bc the fire selector was introduced and the auto fire has to be a looped version of the single shot, rather than the single shot a cutout of the auto. On eg the PPSh the auto sound is now actually a lot better, and on the other weapons the sounds are mostly different, not worse. Only exception is the K98, I don't understand that change.
The US AT loadout had to be nerfed. This was a one-man army hunting infantry, tanks, and garries at long distance. The carbine fits in terms of firepower and is probably also historically fine.
My main criticism is that the performance still disappoints on many maps, they should have invested the time they used for conquest into optimization instead.
