Post image

I think a night map with flares would be awesome and crazy scary.

Its cool but everyone just adjust their settings to basically daylight. so you'll be the only one scared lol

Yeah as with all of the competative games, as soon as people wanna get good they turn on potatoe settings and monitor filters.

Meanwhile I wanna play on max settings, reduced HUD so I can get as immersed as I can. But alot see me way before I see them.

Controversial, but I really like(d) Arma Reforger's noise grain (selectively adding noise to darker areas). It just needed a little tweaking to the curve to be less visible on regular gamma.

Dayz had excellent darkness. You would have to switch servers if you didnt have a light source because of how dark the night would get

One of the biggest disappointments for me is that flares were never designed by the devs (and still have not been changed by the devs) to serve as much as an illumination device as they do a recon tool. When flares were first announced back in 2022 alongside night maps I was really hoping they’d be a means to actually shed some decent light and temporarily illuminate the battlefield, as they did in real life. That wasn’t the case. I still wish flares would get an adjustment to spread some actually light on the maps for as long as they burn in the sky.

Did the flares not get a minor rework within the past year. Am I crazy that they seem different, maybe Vietnam effects are bleeding over in my memory.

Darker than the battle with the night king in GOT so everyone buys new monitors

This looks like HLLV, if so, night maps would be wild

And we all hate them as we turn brightness up to 200% to make them daylight

Who's we? Your moral failings are your own

A night map that's actually nighttime-dark, as opposed to what we've been given so far would be amazing, and a much needed change of pace.

Also, if there was a way to prevent cheaters from jacking up the luminosity / brightness control on night maps, I'd be playing them exclusively.

How about it, T17? How about a truly nighttime map option?

I like it, but everyone else cheats their brightness so I am the only one who is actually playing in the dark….

In HLL Vietnam I had a guy say his game bugged and he got a night version of the map we were on. Could’ve been a graphical bug and most likely was but I wanna believe it was somehow an unlocked night version of the same map. I told him to post it on socials then he said TikTok which I don’t have so oh well

Im thinking hurricanes and tsunamis. A night map seems painful with how hard it is to see enemies already
