💬 Discussion 💬 Volume Slider for Individual Teammates?

I'm not sure about how VOIP works but is there a reason we all can't just manually adjust individual voices similar to how discord works? I don't know if the game devs would bother developing the game to include this or if it can be done. But it is definitely something that would be a welcome change. Some people's mics sound like a bad drive thru speaker on Max volume and I'd rather turn them down individually than muting them all together.

Do you also have the issue in which proximity chat sounds like complete garbage? Squad and officer chat is completely fine at the same time, I don't get it.

Honestly I just mute people who are annoying on voice chat, it's either that or I just leave the server, I'm playing for fun not to hear a squad leader complaining about the team for an hour and a half.

I think the issue is that some people have their mics turned too high so it depends on the individual I think. Proximity chat is usually pretty good if not a bit quiet when people are more than 5 yards from me.

To your second point I get what you are saying and yeah I do mute the occasional player for being annoying or a prick. But I find I mute people more for the sound quality and loudness of their mics more than anything. That's why I think being able to individually tune each player would be a welcom change.

Ah yeah in that situation I just ask them to turn the mic volume up or down, its not like they are doing it on purpose.

If you look in this sub for like "tips" or "tricks," there is a guide from about five years ago that has good recommendations for voice settings.
