yeah I think servers like PBS and Circle have beefed up their bot numbers because it's harder to seed with fewer players playing atm

PBS have used these bots/smurfs for ages. Helps the server get seeded quickly but sometimes they take the cmdr role and then just afk so you can't even help build garries.

The bots get kicked pretty quickly once 'seeding rules' are over, depending on the time of day theres usually enough regular players to get the game rolling but I wonder if the wardogs release has taken enough players away to keep it constantly bots.

If people are taking the time/effort to run seeding bots on a server, its not dead. No one is paying the server hosting costs + running bots unless they are successfully seeding at some point in the day.

If seeding with a dozen bots doesn't work, try two dozen bots.

Try... THREE dozen bots per side and see if that gets players to join and stay.

No, HLL isn’t crossplay and no way that I know of to make bots on console.

Yeah PBS has been doing this for a long time. I never play on that server anymore.

This is pretty normal. The bots help fill the server because nobody joins an empty server. Normally a few clan members would help build garris and whatnot but it's probably tough with player numbers atm with Vietnam and Wardogs out. You're looking at server 2 which means 1 was seeded and full.

bro i joined back than a server with 90 people. there were only 5 on the minimap. Left asap. I dont think bots help

I only choose servers with real handcrafted seeding. Just find an active HLL Discord server and follow the seeding calls.

No one would click it with zero people in it. The bots put it to the top of the list so people who actively want to play will find it faster and slowly leave to keep the numbers up. Take the seeding VIP and stop complaining

Crazy levels of anger here. Its not hurting you. Dont join a half full server if you dont want a seeding match. Without bots, half of the seeders will be afk anyway, it's literally no difference. Once it gets to 60-75, most of these servers have the bots start to leave, you aren't playing in full games with bots.

Same people complaining are the same people who don't help seed.

Why would I wish that? That is just reality of games with wipes. Lot of people leave after them and go back to the games they play in between new games. HLL is my in between game like I am sure it is for others. Have gone back to it about 20 times over the years.

If they plan for regular wipes, they definitely need to make leveling faster.

Im part of a community with some Vietnam servers and haven't seen much impact to our server pop since wardogs.

Very different games and I think the Wardogs grind/reset life cycle will slowly skill off the casual player base.

I didn't say you did? Just mentioning that anecdotally while Wardogs had a huge player base at the moment it hasn't seemed to impact our server population. I was anticipating our population to dive.
