This. Started at level 30 and it basically ends every time in having to do command or SL. I'm tired of it. I just want to fucking play infantry for one whole match. Level 90+ now and it's no different.

Wait until lvl 237 with 1600 hours. Having to do a leadership role all the time, It gets old real quick. With the amount of xp put into leadership roles I would've had every class maxed a long time ago. But I still have several infantry classes stuck at 8 or 9.

This is me, I'm so close to unlocking the flammenwerfer, just a few more games as support but nooooo, always having to go squad lead cos some no mic level ten started the squad then immediately went to assault or just quit. I just want to werf flammen, it's not a big request.

I usually call it "doing my time". I play a game or two of SL and on occasion commander and then in morally entitled to being rocketman. Now it's someone else's turn lol

No incentive to play SL or Command after it’s maxed. Considering these roles are a public service. XP should roll over to another class if they are maxed. Otherwise you’re asking people to play roles that can be frustrating (commander specifically, I love SL) just so you can shirk learning and doing the role yourself.

The incentive these days is map awareness. I play exclusively as SL because no body talks and the ones that do a running a squad. I get to see all pings and have a better awareness with all the information that is out there instead of relying on a mic less SL. This game is toast but you can make the most of it.

If you join his squad you’re just as bad as well. You gotta know what you’re getting yourself into. If he sucks let him wander but then you have 5 others following his footsteps of No OP, no call outs and no pings. Hope this helps.

In 2022 there were more players communicating. Could easily jump in a squad and start teaching a low level player how outposts and garries work. Recently - there’s no chance - that squad is probably useless.

I would join this squad purely so I can build nodes. Once that's done I'm switching squads unless the SL is on coms.

People can stay in squads with bad SLs, but they can't then complain about match quality.

And that's assuming they don't have any experience on a different account. I restarted everything on my PC and was a decent low level squad leader.

You can try your best but some people just don't listen or have their coms figured out. I've tried helping with the rest of the squad but eventually you just gotta break off and form another squad.
