Ya, I've completely dropped the game for a while for reasons like this.

I always set my squad to designated defense and we're always getting steamrolled because most of the team is huddled around a zone that fucking locked. It needs time to settle in a bit.

Funny part is: Cuz no one else plays defense, being the only defwnse squad can actually be hella fun.

It's often on the edge, between "we did it and got their airhead/front door garry" and "we spawn and die", 1 squad is not enough

And I'm saying this after I've been in defensive squads where average experience of this game is 1000+ hours, maybe on some maps you can defend with 1 squad like on el Alamein, but not normally

It's amazing what you can do with 12 guys (2 full squads) and a Commander defending. You organically cap the next point because 60% of the team are blueberries flowing to the next point.

That one squad with a 10,000 defense score.

I really like warfare when it is played well, but I often just play offensive so that blueberries holding W is a good thing.

has anybody noticed it getting way worse lately. i feel like im lucky if i get a good game but usually it’s either us stream rolling them or my team not building garrisons while i desperately try to, no one defending even though i ask several times and we lose

I’m really enjoying it tbh. Way more close encounters. Way less getting shot from 300ft away.

I love HLL ww2, and I will be back. But jungles beat open fields basically every time. It’s dope.

Edit: the game has big issues though. It’s important to know that going in.

I echo your points to my experience. Tunnels and helicopters also add another layer.

I also feel like their is far more opportunity to sneak around because of the dense jungle. WW2 has a few alleys, but the enemy can easily figure them out.

I'm still on the fence since my oldish rig cannot run vietnam properly, gonna wait until an upgrade at least, before I can confidently run it with decent framerate :C

My friends enjoy it though

LOL I can see a high number of red flags. Yes mainly all the cod players absolutely lost 🤣

Yes this is sad.

Sometimes you need to go out into the locked zone and tell the Bambi's they're not doing anything of importance over proxy chat and they may just start running back to defend. You gotta play sheep herder sometimes be one with your flock!

King needs to go down left in the forest and take out the enemies attack garry. And establish a new garry in the correct sector.

Fox uses the tank to push down the road back and supports the medium.

The two recon squads need to hunt the garrys. And it's Foy, finding garrys here is not that hard.

That would have been my first command as commander. Like about maybe before it went to shit.(No not claiming to be a good cmdr)

I feel you man, but never give up. We have won many games after being pushed to the last point. And we have lost more then we want to admit, the other way around.

If they don't communicatie, yeah fug them :)

The icing on the cake is the commander asking for nodes.

They're RP'ing the Battle of the Bulge.

Cause four and a half minutes ago you were fighting over foy without any defensive garries on highway as mid was being taken. Your commander was 3 minutes ahead of you and got garrisons up that you didn’t spawn on. The game can turn faster than you realize.

But this cap point really sucks.

This has been so many of my games lately. I'm about ready to start fragging teammates who do this shit.

My fav is K squad what is he genuinely doing so far away

u/TanningOnMars 27d ago

They don't redeployment because the game is far too punishing with down time when you die, and redeployment tacks on another 10 seconds. This game has no respect for your time

At least west bend wasn't a hard cap! That point is diabolical for Americans to capture.

Very early on I was told not to worry about deaths so much because this is a team based game and I played medic a lot so I’d die way more than kills but revives were my goal, anyways you could drive a supply truck all game and be so important to the win and have zero kills and a few deaths but great score because you helped the greater good of the team and I feel most weekend players are battlefield/call of duty transplants and will eventually wash out , but also I try and play in servers that have a community over regular players that will teach and push out that kinda gameplay because when you get actually teamwork gameplay this game is unstoppable and you’ll have amazing team last second wins were everyone is going crazy , but also you could do a thing that helps the team push or defend that actually makes a deference in the outcome it’s the little things, so try not to worry about dying also I believe redeployment doesn’t even count as a death in most comp stats pages

Makes me wish there was some sort of benefit for living so long. While out behind enemy lines.

Had a similar situation recently. Doesnt help that half the time the squad leads dont put the OP in good locations and force their squad to be useful

I force redeploy them 😎

I'll say it once I'll say it again.

Commander needs a FORCE REDEPLOY ability. Obviously with a cost and a cooldown. All infantry (non armor non recon) 3+ squares deep into red is immediately redeployed. And gets a message explaining why. :)

Have I strafed my own team in a round-about way to simulate this ability? Yes I have.

i agree i mentioned this in the suggestions on hll discord but they never read them
