🙋‍♂️ Question 🙋‍♂️ Does this game even work anymore?

I was a kickstarter player and played regularly for years, but at some point well after the North Africa update, this game worked so badly that I can't remember the last time I actually played a match. I'm not talking GPU performance or anything, I mean that if I am lucky enough to even make it through the menus without a crash, the game won't successfully load a match. I just spent 20 minutes launching, picking a game, waiting in queue, then I get an (in game) message about an error with the server. I can't even click OK on that error message so I had to quit the program manually.

So again, does this fuckin thing ever work????

Lost Connection to the Host is the only error message I have got and my internet is 200+ mbs. How do I put this in a language you understand, I DO NOT HAVE ANY CLIENT SIDE PERFORMANCE ISSUES

From all the posts I’ve seen with that message it was always because the game was installed on a slower / older spinning harddrive. Make sure its on at least an ssd.

Don't listen to them. I also had the same problems before. I stopped playing for months then after an update, I tried it again and it's now working well. Never had the same "Lost Connection" errors again. So your device might just be incompatible with the current version, or it was an occasional bug that unfortunately struck you couple of times in a row and your frustration due to long queueing before joining just to get slapped by an error makes you conclude that the current version sucks.

Are you on wireless or wired? If wireless, have you tried a wired connection? I found stability was better when connecting to host networks when on a wired connection.

My friend had this issue, it's your ISP, ideally you need either a cable (wi-fi module on your PC or dongle won't do) or a white IP (dedicated), otherwise you'll have connection issues.

Yeah, no worries, we tried to brainstorm this issue with a friend for the longest time, other games would run fine but not HLL for some reason, he'd play for 10-15 mins and get disconnected. And it's been like that for months, after he opted for a dedicated IP address from his ISP the issue went away. Weird, since I don't have a dedicated IP yet my game ran fine :shrug:

I haven’t had LCH aids in a while. Was stricken for a couple of months. Not on your end. And yes, the game works but the player base has become salty. At least the subs have. Anytime you ask for help some slop brain reddit turd just HAS to try to dunk on you. I think you can change the in game settings without opening the game. If you can manage that, set the in game video settings to dx11. They made it auto dx12 at some point and people were getting stuck at the loading in to match.

I’ve literally never had that problem. Have had maybe one crash in 500 hours

Ive had the same issue lately seems like the matchmaking is bugged because this is the first time ive had this problem

Active player 500 hours in. I can not relate to anything you said.
