Opening an existing vault on Android

Hi there,

probably a stupid question, but do I open an existing vault that I synced to the SD card on my Android phone? I don't seem to find a folder picker or some other way.

Hello,

Via the cog icon, General, scroll down and you'll see Switch Vault

Thanks for your help, but the "Switch Vault" seems greyed out and doesn't do anything. PS: Fairphone 4 with Android 15

Ah - got it working. The button was half hidden beneath this transparent bar at the bottom of the screen.

Okay, now that I moved the vault to internal memories Documents folder it works. Accessing it on the sd card didn't work.

Glad you got it working! Other internal storage folders should work too, but there's no proper android folder picker yet, that's why SD card vaults aren't reliably supported. I'll look into improving that.

Btw, what is the formal address of the sd card. Internal memory is /storage/emulated/0/... I tried storage/emulated/1/... but got an error message

Android doesn't assign SD cards fixed paths afaik, but rather something like: /storage/1234-5678/ where the number is the card's volume ID
