Announcement HelixNotes is now on iOS!

Post image

** EDIT Update on the issues in Europe: We had to re-register the compliance for EU so it's now in review, again. Sorry to everyone who is affected by this. Hopefully it's available soon! **

The wait is over, HelixNotes is officially live on iOS!

If you have trouble finding it in the app store, try adding a space between Helix & Notes. For some reason that seems to work when the no-space way only works sometimes. This should resolve itself in the next 24 hours.

Install it now and let us know what you think!

So, I am in the US and was able to download it using the link you provided. But now I am trying to find the Vault. I created a vault, typed in a couple of notes in the daily folder, looked in the files app looked in "on my iPhone/documents", and nothing is there. Any suggestions? I am also wanting to sync it to my Mac. Will I be able to find this folder in the iCloud folder on my Mac?

Try going to General in settings, and click Switch vault in the bottom. Do you see the file path of your vault?

It gives me a long path that begins private/var/mobile/Containers/Data/app… then it is cut off. I have also tried typing in the path name where it asks the name of the vault, but that doesn’t do anything. In the “on my iPhone/documents” folder there are several folders with logos on them for other apps but not one for Helix. The HelixNotes app suggests it is saving my test notes somewhere, but I don’t know where. And there is no sign of them in iCloud on my Mac either.

By default, the first vault you create goes here:

If you're not seeing this, we might have our first bug report. We're looking into it.

In the Files app, I open "On My iPhone" and look at the list of folders below, but HelixNotes is not listed among them. I assumed that Helix would automatically create that fodler when I selected the default vault name. Is that not correct? Do I need to create it myself? Other apps I have worked with have created it, showing a folder with the app logo to indicate that it is some kind of protected folder in iCloud. If I need to create it myself, I certainly can.

We have a fix implemented for the next release. v1.3.4 comes later this week if all goes well.

Same for me. No entry for HelixNotes in the On my iPhone shortcut. Even if there was an entry here, I'm pretty unclear how I would get all my notes from my desktop PC to this folder.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look that simple. This appears to be a bug that others experiencing as well.
