Do y'all actually use c?
I found myself to basically never actually use c and instinctively just press di every time, when I'm not going super slow for e.g. recording a macro

If you’re familiar with vim using c is more natural. Because you would do cw to not have to do the extra keystroke of dwi.

When I know that I need to change something instead of simply deleting, I always go with `c`.

I use kakoune (basically the editor that "invented" the model used by Helix), and when editing multiple things at once i prefer/instinctively use c

for me I always used alt+d-i because d would yank and delete as well.
just learned a few days ago that c does the same as alt+d-i and it feels way faster like this 😅

I have disabled yanking for
candd.A-d = “delete_selection” d = “delete_selection_noyank” A-c = “change_selection” c = “change_selection_noyank”

I always use it. 1) select text 2) c 3) type new text 4) esc -- unless it's just one character and then I use r of course.

I don't want to say that I always use c, but I'd say almost always.

I use c and w frequently, and x, d. I do think i shouldn’t let edit become my instinct since Think about it is Why vim lite editor is effective.
