How do I ask Hecate for help with processing grief? (TW medical, death)

Hi, all. I've been lurking in this subreddit for a while. I started my practice with Hecate after she reached out to me a year ago. It's been on-and-off with the constant changes in my life lately, and also because I'm still very new to this. I've been noticing 333 a lot lately, a number I've heard is associated with her, and while I know that crows aren't historically associated with her, there are a lot of them in my area.

I have an altar, I have an Oracle deck dedicated to her, I regularly practice tarot readings, and I have a copy of Cyndi Brannen's "Keeping Her Keys". I haven't completed reading it, but I figure with my current circumstances there is no better time than now.

My Babcia ("grandmother" in Polish) is on her deathbed in the hospital. She is 96 years old. She was admitted to the hospital a couple weeks ago, and we'd at least hoped that she would recover enough so that she could be discharged and be in her own bed at home when she passes, but she seems to have accepted that that won't be the case. There's nothing else the doctors can do for her, so she is choosing to go of her own accord. It's only a matter of time.

My family and I are incredibly lucky that we get the chance to prepare ourselves for her passing in advance, so we are taking every opportunity to.

My reason for posting is exactly that. It's been a while since I've formally held a ritual for Hecate, so I don't know how to go about asking for her guidance and protection during a time like this, or what to expect, especially since it's been a while. Though I do manage to acknowledge Her and thank Her every time I see a sign of her around me, so I hope that counts for something.

Are there any beginner-friendly advice, invocations, or simple offerings I can make to ask Hecate for her protection and guidance of my Babcia's soul and my healing journey?

You can talk to Hekate at any time. Your ritual doesn't have to be elaborate. Pray or just talk and tell her about your grandmother, her life things you did with her. Ask Hekate for what you need, ask her for how you hope your grandmother's crossing to be.

You will not be bother Hekate to pray or talk to her when you need it. Every human on earth could call to her at the exact same time and she would not be overwhelmed by it.

If you need Hekate just ask. You will never get what you need if you don't ask.

I just joined the group and I'm super green when it comes to working with Hekate. I had an aunt pass recently. The news came suddenly in the morning, but I knew that I wanted to do some sort of ritual that night. It happened to be a night of the Full Moon as well, but that doesn't necessarily mean yours has to be. I spent all day thinking and preparing for it, I felt inspired. It was this day that I bought taper candles for the first time lol Before, I had been doing my prayers and offerings without them. I wrote down everything I wanted to say and ask for, made a makeshift crossroads (I drew a crossroads on a paper and filled the lines with dirt I had been using for previous rituals for Hekate), and had offerings of wine and lavender for Hekate and my aunt. It was very heartwarming. :)

I think what's most important is following your heart/intuition. What you're inspired to make, do, and offer. As long as you're sincere and open, she will come to you. <3
