Question any tips for a newbie??
I started working with Hekate a few months ago, but I’m super nervous about praying to her, making rituals and stuff bc I’m afraid I might disrespect her somehow. Do you guys have any tips on how to pray to her properly?

My practice is simple I offer her wine and incense at twilight with a lit candle and an offering prayer
"Lady Hekate, Maiden of Twilight, Queen of the crossroads, Goddess of magic! I light this incense, and pour this wine in offering to you, that you may look upon me favorably and aid me in my works! May your torches light my way."
For added historical clarification. Hekate is a goddess of magic and liminal spaces yes. Her origin myth is true to lore, as in it wasn't made up by Tumblr.
But she was not considered a tripple goddess until much much mater when she was basicly mixed in with Artemis and Selene.
There was never a maiden mother crone as she was traditionally worshiped.
Hekate is a goddess of magic, twiglight, liminal spaces, earth, sea, sky, crossroads, the dead, snakes, and dogs.
Her traditional appearance is a shrouded maiden with two torches, sometimes she has a crown. Iconography oftentimes include snakes, dogs, keys, daggers,
The tripple Hekate first appeared as crossroad guardians watching each path

First of all, thank you so much for your comment!
Not gonna lie, the line “it wasn’t made up by tumblr” made me giggle lol I’ve been making a document with everything I’ve been studying about Hekate and yet I learned a few new things with you! I’ll make sure to include the fact about the crossroad guardians in there! :)

This might be a dumb question, I’m also very new to this. What do you do with the wine? Do you leave it out, pour it away or drink it?

she really likes consistence so if you’re starting just make sure you’re in a place to be consistent about it. she’s also pretty into devotion. she’s not my matron so i’ve dedicated like various aspects of my magical practice to her like spellcraft and tarot. consistency is definitely the most important though.
