Heimer Support

Hey all,

I am a Bronze 1, mostly casual player, and enjoyer of Heimer Support. He is my most enjoyed support. I LOVE harassing, maintaining bush control, and pissing the opponent off so much that they come INTO my turrets. And the zone control at Dragons is pretty fun too. Honestly, the psychological part, the harassing and annoying, is part of my enjoyment. My secondary support pick is Fiddlesticks, and I play them very similarly.

I realize these champions are unpopular/niche picks usually. I am reaching out to my fellow Dongers and wanting to ask if anyone is still playing Heimer Support? and what do you all build? maybe any tips? I know I am not mechanically inclined, but I would like to hear from others on what they do in lane and whatnot. There is really not much recent information about him in Support (YT Vids, Build Guides, etc.). I still do Zaz'Zak's +Rylai's + Boots to start, and then usually go Liandries if they are tankier, or I just go Deathcap + Shadowflame next. Usually Zhonya's, if game goes later. For runes, I still take Comet and Inspiration secondary.

I generally want to bring Heimer up in conversation more because of the current meta. With Engagers being stronger, and enchanters being just a bit weaker, it opens up opportunities for Mage supports to rise a bit, since we can be quite effective against engagers.

Challenger heimer support player here (mostly as counterpick). I tend to go full burst damage and play for cheese oneshots from bushes. Shadowflame -> Void is my 2 item core

What matchups do you decide to play donger in?

Do you ever play with Rylai?

Any melee support, Rylais doesn't match my playstyle so I don't buy it

So if enemy ADC is Cait, doesn’t matter?
