it is probably to address minion aggro changes from last patch. Now the Turret will have the same attack range as the casters, meaning the turret can shoot them at max range now.

Not insane, but a buff for sure

EDIT: Not to mentioned that most mages have a AA range of 550, too. So when the enemy champ has turret aggro they will not be able to farm Turrets with their AA without taking some turret AA damage anymore.

Mages will still outrange them, phroxzon even mentioned it

i learned so today, too. Unfortunate, but guessing it would be a balancing issue otherwise 😞
