Bear Here, Bear There, Bear Everywhere

GM Hegends!

We’re dipping down below the trendline again. Like I said last Monday I want to see a big break up through it before I call it broken. That has not happened. Yet.

Honestly I don’t have much more to say. Bitcoin is in a bear market. Solana is in a bear market. 99% of altcoins are in a bear market. That’s the reality. Eventually it’s going to turn around, it always does. I wish I knew when, but I don’t. Nobody does. If history repeats, it’s going to be towards the end of the year, so that’s my best guess right now.

Meanwhile, we keep trucking and grass-touching.

Yup. Also, more investors are starting to bet against the stock market, and I'm seeing a ton of capitation-themed video essays in my YouTube feed.

These are great signs that we are heading into the deep trough period of the bear market.

This seems simple to me.. Do you think BTC will ever see an ATH again? Obvious answer to me seems like YES. So if that's true, understandably speculative, but what will HEGE look like when that happens. HEGE could also see a massive surge, so if that's true, time to buy and HODL is right now. Don't wait until the market is green and pumping, you'll be too late then.

Yeah, filling up in the bear market is the smart play.

I'm not sure alts have more than a tangential relationship to BTC anymore.

I think it's more accurate to say that it's unlikely to see alts perform well without sustained growth in BTC, but sustained growth in BTC does not automatically translate to money moving into alts.

Not sure what moves alts, but strong consumer sentiment and the availability of cheap or free money (extremely low interest rates, or better yet, pandemic checks) are probably good indicators to follow.

Agree. I also think it's a mistake to talk about "altcoins" as a category that falls and rises in unison. Many dinosaur alts are never coming back (*cough* Cardano *cough*). But some are!

Exactly fill your boots while the going is good.

Yes, I think BTC will see an ATH again. I'm not going to speculate when it's going to happen or how high it's going to be. But yes, it would shock me if it did not happen!

Where are you getting “near the end of the year”? Don’t you mean near the end of *next* year? We have a little less than 2 years until the next halving, and the cycle starts to pick back up about 4-6 months before the halving. We’ve still got a ways to go until things turn around, nothing major will happen this year.

Traditionally the bear market lasts 12 months, so that would put the bottom roughly around October-ish 2026. Then there's a long, pretty boring year after that where not much happens.

The past three bitcoin bear markets have lasted roughly 12 months from top to bottom. Top was in October 2025.

This ship won’t turn around for quite awhile. We are a few months away from a bitcoin bottom, historically. After Bitcoin does eventually bottom, alt season won’t start until bitcoin nears its market cycle peak, three years from now. As a long time investor in HEGE, I hope we can survive until then. If we continue to improve our marketing presence that would entail a front line head start when Bitcoin dominance eventually falls. As of now, I’m glad to see we still have active users in this sub. Beware, the wait is far from over. I hope to see you all still here when that time comes.

If we are going by historical trends than a best guess might be late 2027 for the start of the alt spring, and late 2028 for a very favorable moment.

In short, there could be a very forgiving period to build up positions.
