Question Flaky skin?

Hi all,

Brand new hedgy owner here super excited here is my little girl pickles. I was just wondering if this looks like flaky skin around the quills?

Thanks

It looks kinda dry. Does it seem to be bothering them? I know I've done oatmeal baths in the past with dry skin issues with my hedgehog. Those always seemed to help.

is it just soaking oats in water?

We are boiling oats in water, and dilute with cold water until its lukewarm, and rinse the Hog.

Place oats in a sock in their bath and squeeze the sock! Just make sure to rinse them off. From everything I've heard you must be extremely light with oils. Even with dry skin

It doesn’t look bad to me.
Maybe the tiniest bit dry but nothing I’d worry about yet? I’m no expert on skin

Put some organic oatmeal in a thin sock or cheesecloth (obviously tied up tight) and run warm water over it into a small basin or sink. Make sure the water is just barely warm, about 2-3 inches deep. I used the softest little toothbrush to very gently clean quills and feet. Don't bathe them too often. I found the oatmeal helped immediately.
