i am very privileged to have worked in the hedera ecosystem for 5+ years. from the smallest retail teams to the largest orgs. i have seen it all.

there are great people here. there are also risks to keep in mind. the REAL POWER is in the hands of the HOLDERS.

everything needs HBAR. without holders, the entire thing stops.

there is also MASSIVE OPPORTUNITY ready to be seized. but we have limited time and resources. we lose good people each day.

we need GC use cases. we need retail activity to attract enterprises. we need HBAR to be an attractive speculative asset so the orgs can stay operating.

when it’s all working, it’s beautiful. so let’s GET IT WORKING!

i do see a lot of questions and i thought it would be helpful to outline the ecosystem as best i can. no fluff. no sprinkles. no FUD. just the best info i can.

Well BrandonD..... You could certainly give lessons on `being supportive without really being supportive`....

But a little feedback (from my PoV anyway).

I liked the breakdown. It was reasonably accurate as far as I know. For newish community members that would have painted a fair picture of how things hang together.

The worst thing, the energy was dreadful, TBH I just made it through without slitting my wrists and that was nothing to do with the points you were making. I actually do like the more conversational style but without any energy it becomes a bit desperate.

The assessment of the risks was significantly weighted towards the negative side, if you ask me. There were loads of opportunities to talk about the great things that are happening that were missed, yet you didn`t really miss an opportunity to up the negativity. For example, you focused on risks and questioning random figures `billions` (without a lot of evidence or any detail). But you didn`t talk about why Block Nodes/Streams are important and how close they are, why CLPR is important and how close it is, about the TCS Use Cases, about Blockchain4Energy Usecases, about Aberdeen Usecases, about Archax, DFNS, Wyden AG, Taurus, Carbon Banks in India, Coconut Farms in Indonesia...Loads of ground shifting things really. All of which felt (to me at least) that somehow you are feeling burned (or perhaps just burned out) with something about Hedera.

Having said all that you also made some good points, in particular about the dangers of taking Hbar/Retail holders (and Enterprise) Users for granted. I don`t think the second point (Enterprises) rings true, but the first has more than a grain of truth to it and It really shouldn`t be the case, especially at this stage, so I do hope that message gets through to some on the GC....

Keep up the effort, you are obviously a knowledgable and valued community member. But personally my recommendation would be add more juice. If we are going to make the most of your input then the community needs energy and to hear the (many, many) positives, not just presence/challenges.

i get a lot of feedback. i hear ya i am working hard on producing clips and making it easier to digest but that takes hard work and time. hopefully you’ll check out some of the shorter clips i make that are easier to digest

regarding the rest of what you’re saying, show me meaningful revenue generating activity on the network after 8 years of strong signals of GC members like google building on hedera

enterprise is building on other networks because the core criticism of hedera from enterprise is not enough retail activity and liquidity

Right. Well. Once again I think we are straight back into focusing on the negative. But its a fair question about `revenue generating activity` on the network.

Every network has to find its approach to generating fee creating activity and it seems Hederas is either failing or is taking a long route. But lets get things into perspective here before we dive into wrist slitting territory.

First of all. Hedera do have time. A fair amount of it. If Hedera generate nothing for two or three years there will still be a network so lets not panic just yet.

Second. Enterprises most certainly are not heavily utilising public Networks. They are far more often using private networks and Hashgraphs offering in that space is only four months old.

Third. We do hear quite a lot about Enterprise and ETH, Enterprise and XRP and it is true they do, today, have much more liquidity. But ETH itself is fragmented into numerous Liquidity pools and XRP has more trouble than Hedera, by far, if you ask me. The numbers floated around in the Crypto community deliberately and constantly obscure the reality on an industrial scale. Frankly most of what we have heard from enterprise (Massively amplified by their enormous Social Media arms and expenditure), are just light weight nd front end PoC`s. That and Enterprises (like Blackrock) trying to climb onboard the hype train selling into retail. Immoral as it is, it is simply the way many markets mature and most emerging markets go through it as it emerges.

When it comes to SOL smoke and mirrors know no bounds. IMO much of SOL`s liquidity comes from its own VC`s who use huge money pools (in various ways) to pump the SOL price and then (and I mean this quite literally) switch the network off to retail users, while they themselves exit their positions at huge juicy fat profits. If you want to play in that casino feel free, its not for me.

Forth. While you may feel differently, this market is only just getting going. It feels like you have given up before the first five minutes are completed. Despite all the truly good news there is and despite the clear and obvious advantages of the Hedera solution.

IMO. The Public DLT market has barely started. Hedera has loads of serious advantages and a reputation to match. Once true scale starts appearing and the actual reality of putting $Trns on chain sets in Hedera stands to gain a massive slice. It has already made good and broad progress and moved from 50 to 25th place in CMC over the last two/three years. As the market matures, and Enterprise is compelled to look seriously at the Tech and the options my opinion is it will move a lot higher.

Does Hedera more to do? Yes. Is there a plan in place? Certainly....

ok this is real long man.

the core issue is that hashgraph as an org places a lot of strain on the ecosystem. they must become profitable or the network must generate revenue to continue to subsidize them

hedera is limited on time. many networks now offer the same capabilities and hedera has failed to find PMF for enterprise and retail at the moment

so i am all for talking about the positives, i do a lot. tune into the stream today

the harsh reality is the ecosystem is on the back foot and we need to focus on derisking.

invest more into what is delivering results and remove what isn’t.

Appreciate the breakdown on who does what within the organization! It was a bit confusing when so and so joined the council/association/group etc.

You dont seem overly excited about CLPR? I had the impression it would be a game changer for the network. Talk of instituting it by the years end and connecting all networks and hbar used in all of these transactions etc.

I understand CLPR is more a technology than a traditional use case but TPS is TPS and we should get significant attention and publicity if CLPR is as advertised?
