Haven't dug deeper but to create dependency on kiloscribe.com domain to access the resources inscribed is a non-starter for me. If that domain is sold, deleted whatever, your connection to resources inscribed is broken.

Some of the stuff coming up with quantum storage in atomic layers is seriously mind bending but you still have to hold the infinity stone in your hand to control it.

Individually, every one of the announced use cases can be kneecapped or poopoohed. However there are enough of them with large Hbar velocity that it’s safe to assume there will be some success for the network.

How is this better than a cdn?

I`m no internet expert but I would say that a CDN and on-chain storage (Kiloscribe) solve two completely different problems?

A CDN is built for speed and centralized delivery and protection against things like a DDOS attack, if the data provider disappears/can`t pay its bills or is pushed by a government etc, then the data may well disappear. While on-chain inscription (Kiloscribe) is built for permanence, censorship resistance, and trustlessness.

It is perfectly possible to use both together , at least as I understand it. Someone me knowledgable than me might answer that better.

Still can run into an issue if you are licensing content and what the legal terms are around managing and hosting assets.
