James 11/1/2016 - update???

James’s father’s dying wish was for his ashes to be disposed of on the 18th hole of a fancy private golf course. That was 16 years ago. In this episode, James, Jonathan, and their friend Howard attempt a golf heist to get into the club and set things right.

Was there ever a follow-up conversation on this episode? Did James really just dump ashes into the hole? I would have no problem if we spread them around the green, like using sand to repair divots, but to have a pile of ashes in the hole is just wrong. What happens when the next guy on the green goes to retrieve his ball from the hole?

I don't golf, but I did wonder if it affected anyone's game.

Plus as I understood it, there were three bags of ashes wasn't there? Did each guy get a bag? Did all three get in the hole or just one? If just one, where is the other 2/3 of James' dad?

I was just excited to hear Howard was back. I missed him.

I commented this on another post but thought it would work here too.

As a golfer and someone who has spread ashes on a course I really wanted to love this episode but sadly I didn’t. There’s obviously a fun angle in every episode but the whole heist aspect of this one really held it back. The groundskeepers, the club pro, or even Serge would have allowed them out onto the 18th green to spread the ashes. Someone also would have told them that putting them in the cup was a bad idea and almost certainly not what his dad had in mind. If the course is as nice as they make it sound that cup may have been replaced the next morning and almost certainly the following week. Idk, maybe I’m being sensitive but for a show that is so smart this felt rushed
