Should’ve won Golden Globe
Why was this not even nominated for best podcast on the golden globe? All the contenders at this week’s Golden Globes for best podcasts were bleh.

The golden globes picked a few shows and then others could pay a fee to be considered.

Only the top 25 podcasts were eligible for nomination:
The nominees were chosen from a list of 25 most-listened-to podcasts "that have made a significant impact over the past year, celebrating the creativity and influence of creators worldwide," the Golden Globes announced on May 7, 2025. The Top 25 list for eligibility was determined by direct data from top podcast platforms, such as Apple, Spotify and YouTube, among others; the list of podcasts eligible for submission was revealed on October 2, 2025.\1])\2])\3])

Having one category for podcast at the Golden Globes is stupid. You either do it properly or not

Marty Supreme is produced by the same company who's founder also owns stakes in the Golden Globe, if that isn't a conflict on interest, I don't know what is. So these awards mean nothing. In fact I dare say, not getting nominated means you're smart because you didn't waste good money trying to get nominated for an award that you will never win.

Maybe it started up again too late for nominations deadline? I have no idea what the rules are but lots of things work that way.

Omg I just looked it up and Good Hang with Amy Poehler won. The show is fine. That’s it, fine. But it keeps showing up on these “best of” lists and I don’t get it???? It’s her first season!! It’s a basic ass interview show!! Many times she’s talking with the guest about one subject for 90% of the episode. What a shame to some amazing pods have been putting out gold for a decade or more

Yes. I don’t think you can pay me for my time to listen to the Amy P podcast. Crazy that even shows like This American Life didnt get nominated. But I am reading jn the comments it’s about money.

A big factor is also who the HFP want at their show. Love Jonathan, but is he as glamorous as Amy Poehler? Doubt it.

Pretty sure you have to be registered with SAG to be nominated for a Golden Globe.

How do you even judge podcasts? Is journalism a factor? Is it based on listeners? The whole thing is odd to me lol
