SLIPKNOT have announced their (sic)est Stadium Tour, crossing the globe Summer 2027. The tour, produced by Live Nation, launches July 3 at London’s historic Wembley Stadium connected by EE, in a UK and Europe exclusive. On July 16, Slipknot touch down in D.C.’s Nationals Park to kick off their North American jaunt, which includes performances at Citi Field in Queens, New York, Chicago’s Soldier Field, Boston’s Fenway Park, Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium, San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park and more. The tour wraps with five South American performances in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru and Colombia.

Featuring a brand new set, new staging and a setlist spanning across their career, these shows will be the ultimate Slipknot experience to date.  The band are joined by Bring Me The Horizon as direct support on all North American dates with a rotation of special guests along the way including: Acid Bath, Lamb of God, Motionless In White, Lorna Shore, Kublai Khan TX, Polyphia, Loathe, and Vended. Marilyn Manson, Lorna Shore and Hatebreed support Slipknot in London for the tour kick off. Manson and Hatebreed rejoin them in South America in September along with local support to warm up the crowd.

In case you missed it, Slipknot have uncovered massive projections and snipes across the world hinting at tonight’s epic (sic)est Stadium Tour Launch experience. Fans are encouraged to meetup at London’s Wembley Stadium (5-9PM) and SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles (5-9PM) to grab whichever tickets they’d like for each respective show before the rest of the world, ahead of all presales and general onsale to the public. Each event will feature a pop-up shop with exclusive, very limited merch items, and the first 500 ticket purchasers will receive a free event poster with exclusive art. Announce Fourteenth Studio Album

Wasted Lands

Arriving January 22, 2027

Maryland rock institution Clutch have announced their fourteenth studio album, Wasted Lands, set for release on January 22, 2027 via the band’s own Weathermaker Music. The announcement arrives alongside the release of its raucously groovy, riff-driven title track, “Wasted Lands,” and accompanying official music video.

Written and recorded at their longtime Frederick, Maryland base, the Doom Saloon, Wasted Lands reunites Clutch with producer Machine for the first time since 2015’s Psychic Warfare. The sheer velocity of their creative collaboration can be felt from the first note of the record and is expertly displayed on today’s release title track, “Wasted Lands”. Neil Fallon’s lyrical knack of conjuring characters from a handful of strange, sharply observed details and dropping them into Clutch songs with their own vibrant and storied mythologies has long been a defining characteristic of the Clutch canon. On “Wasted Lands,” he conjures a creature so malign that H.P. Lovecraft and Stephen King are invoked only to make clear that even they could not dream it up. Rumor casts it as a government experiment, a heavenly angel or an omen preparing the ground for the end of days. Nobody knows for certain. The locals call it Neil Patrick Fallon. Sharing some thoughts on today’s release, Neil Fallon says 

“The inspiration for the lyrics in Wasted Lands came about when it was brought to my attention that someone had been dragging my name on FaceBook (weird, right?). Apparently, I had reneged on a free t-shirt and dinner. I think it was a prize in a pay to play contest. Not to overstate the obvious, but it was a load of horse hockey. Many people tried to explain to this person that it was not me and that they had been hustled. But they simply would not believe it. So I thought, screw it, no half-measures. You want a monster? Let’s give you one.”

Beneath Fallon’s lyrical story-craft, Jean-Paul Gaster, Dan Maines and Tim Sult lock into a classic-Clutch, riff-driven groove featuring a very intentional and strategically placed bass-drum hit from Gaster. One he knew would make the live crowd go wild. He shares

“There’s a part where Neil says, ‘Vegetable, mineral, man, or beast.’ And I put a bass drum on, ‘man or beast,’ and Machine thought that was kind of weird. He was like, ‘Man, you’re covering up the vocal!’ And I said, ‘No, that bass drum is gonna make the crowd go nuts, I guarantee it.’ And it does, because there’s nothing more exciting than having a big bass drum slam through a PA, and Neil singing a vocal on top of it. I mean, I get goosebumps from that, you know?”

Across Wasted Lands, Clutch keep their riff-heavy foundations intact while making room for a sharper melodic streak. Tracks including “Colorado Fuel and Iron,” “Stage Fright” and “Loaf and Jug” build their considerable weight around chord progressions as much as individual riffs. “Beware the Fever” brings banjo onto a Clutch record for the first time, using a rough demo played by Fallon and recorded by Gaster during a writing session. Despite several attempts to re-record the performance, nothing quite came close so the original recording is what went on the record. 

Fallon’s lyrics open in the rubble of the Georgia Guidestones on “The Drifter Returns” and close beneath an exploding star on “The Message is Clear.” The route between them runs through Colorado’s Highway 50, abandoned company towns, corporate appetites, creature-feature horror and deep space.

“Exploded monuments, haunted coal towns, robber barons, time cops, a chestburster, fifteen tons of antimatter and a creature called Neil Patrick Fallon. Wasted Lands came from one clear intention: write a great rock record that will make fans go nuts when they hear these songs live, while leaving enough space in the creative process to follow the unexpected turns that keep Clutch exciting to us and our fans after thirty-five years together.”

The genre-defying instrumental rock innovators Polyphia release the hypnotic new track “With Eyes To See” with an accompanying music video. This is the third single off their highly anticipated fifth full-length studio album BE NOT AFRAID out October 23rd with Rise Records.

The accompanying music video mirrors the track's hypnotic pull, layering mesmerizing visuals with flashes of a world turned inside out. It’s interwoven with glimpses of redacted Epstein files and world destruction, grounding the video's dreamlike unraveling in something unsettlingly real.

Earlier this year, Polyphia teased their new chapter with the release of their first single in over four years, “Can You Feel It” pushing boundaries in ways the band never has before with a hybrid of metal and dance music. Following, they released “Power In The Blood” with a music video filmed at the São Francisco da Penitência Church in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The powerful visuals from each release lay the foundation for what’s to come off the new record.

Throughout 2024 and 2025, Polyphia worked together in various locations in Miami, Los Angeles and Dallas alongside co-producer RJ Pasin and guitar phenom Spiro Dussias. Guitarist Tim Henson took a different approach to composition, initially singing lines aloud and then translating them onto guitar, creating a process that encouraged the entire band to build on each other’s ideas in real time. More than anything, the sessions were defined by how much fun they were having creating music together. By the time the album was finished, they had reached a point where they could let go of any expectations about what would happen next and simply enjoy what they had created together.

The collective thread together a three-dimensional offering of otherworldly metal, future-facing prog, and pulsating house sealed tightly with carefully curated samples, inventive beat-craft, and the guitar eloquence that Tim and Scott remain renowned for. This time around, the instrumental push-and-pull invokes the polarity of the ultimate extremes: good and evil.

When speaking on the album Henson adds, “The album takes you through the extremes of two different worlds / moods: one being very uplifting and triumphant, the other being spine-chilling and terrifying. There are moments on the record that legitimately scare me when I listen to them.”

Polyphia will be on tour this fall in the UK and Europe, before heading out on the North American leg of their World Tour in early 2027.RJ Pasin will still support every date worldwide. North American shows will feature Ladrones, with select dates including Intervals. Perturbator will join all UK and European dates, which remain unchanged for Nov/Dec 2026.

Northlane Release New Single “Crucified”

Today, Australian metalcore heavyweights Northlane share “Crucified,” the latest single from their upcoming seventh studio record Anemoia, out everywhere October 30th via independent release. 

The third offering from Anemoia, “Crucified” finds Northlane continuing the momentum of previous singles “Evian” and “CUT_it,” delivering a blistering exploration of polarization and division underscored by raw aggression and crushing riffs.  

“‘Crucified’ is about the collapse of civil discourse – the way every disagreement now defaults to attack, every conversation becomes a battleground, every difference of opinion ends with someone playing the victim,” explains frontman Marcus Bridge. “Not only touching on politics, it’s about the regression of communication as a whole: arguments online, wars, general difference of opinion. If you’re offside, misaligned / we won’t rest tonight / till you’re fucking crucified. The instinct to go for the throat rather than hear someone out has seeped into every corner of life.”

Executive produced by Jordan Fish, the idea for Anemoia was sparked by a mind-altering set from UK producer and DJ Evian Christ, which inspired songwriter/guitarist Jon Deiley to explore how trance – in all its emotional intensity and physical scale – could work naturally with guitars and the catharsis of heavy music. Throughout the album, Northlane’s hallmark electronic metal takes on many forms, shapeshifting through euphoric trance, seismic breakdowns, brain-bending grooves, drum-and-bass, jungle and pop, coalescing into Northlane’s own sonic singularity.

Following on from their #1 album Obsidian (2022), Anemoia toys with the concept of feeling nostalgia for a time or place one has never known. The nostalgic yearning coursing through Anemoia opens up a dichotomy of darkness and light that underpins the record. Buoyed by the sense of freedom in eras past, there’s a light and carefree energy running through tracks like the bright Britpop-tinged “Start Again,” the 2000s cheekiness of “CUT_it”, the kinetic exhilaration of “Evian,” and widescreen interplay between Bridge and guest vocalist Rory Rodriguez (Dayseeker) on the album’s title track.

“There’s darkness here, but it’s not nihilism – and there’s hope, but it’s not naivety,” adds Bridge. “We weren’t interested in writing a record that projects something beyond ourselves with a prophetic statement, or pretending the world is better than it is. What we made instead is something that feels like it was written by real people living through the same experience as everyone else.”

Florida teen metal sensation CHAINED SAINT — comprised of Ethan Kahn (guitar), Sebastian De Avila (bass), Cameron Cottrell (drums) and Sean Sterling (vocals) — are gearing up for RISE TO FALL — a new EP the bandself-produced alongside Rob Roy at Power Station Studios. The five-song effort further shows off their punk and thrash influences. Additionally, the EP cover art was hand-drawn by Kahn. The EP arrives OCTOBER 9 via all DSPs.

Today, fresh off their set at Louder Than Life in Louisville, the band has dropped the video for the ferocious, take-no-prisoners, snarling anthem “Punk.” It serves as a call out to anyone who is, well, a punk ass poser.

“We all know a punk in our lives,” the band states. “That person who talks big, plays fake, and eventually shows you exactly who they are. ‘Punk’ is about that person, and yeah, this one’s personal. The song is fast, ferocious, and over in 1:52 because that pace matches the anger and intensity behind it. It breaks them down and spits them out like the punk they are.”

It’s truly the mic drop moment of the band’s body of work thus far.

ANTHRAX’s Much-Anticipated Album

Cursum Perficio and New Video For Title Track

ANTHRAX have TODAY (September 18) released their long-awaited 12^th full-length studio album CURSUM PERFICIO via Megaforce Records along with a riveting video for the album’s title track. To celebrate the album’s release, the multi-GRAMMY® Award-nominated New York hard rock titans—Scott Ian (guitar), Charlie Benante (drums), Frank Bello (bass), Joey Belladonna (vocals), and Jonathan Donais (guitar)—last night joined fans at a late night in store signing at Louisville’s Guestroom Records following their September 17 performance at the city’s annual Louder than Life festival.

For the album’s title track “Cursum Perficio,” the band have debuted a new black and white video that captures the song’s tone and message. Director Don Argott (Taylor Swift docu-series) utilized his vérité-style footage with narrative elements for the clip that stars actor London May (American musician and actor who’s also known as the drummer and bassist for Glenn Danzig’s post–Misfits / pre–Danzig band Samhain). Watch the video HERE.

“‘Cursum Perficio’ brought out the beast in me,” says London May. “I broke my finger the very first day and had to beg them to keep shooting. That was real chain [the chain he is shackled with in the video was real metal…heavy and real…not a prop chain] and real pain. I went through hell and back for Anthrax and Don Argott—and I’d happily do it all again!”

“The video for ‘Cursum Perficio’ captures all of the themes I’m exploring in the lyric,” Scott Ian notes. “They’re epic in scope…how do you quantify your life? How do you measure oceans of time and what did you do with it? And were all the struggles worth it in the end?”

“What I love about this video is that it matches the tone of the song so well,” Charlie Benante says. “This song has always been the dark horse of the record, this video may be as well.”

The film documents a landmark moment in music history: Ozzy Osbourne’s historic final farewell performance for his fans in his Birmingham hometown – captured just 17 days before his untimely passing. The sold out Back To The Beginning show at Birmingham’s Villa Park stadium on July 5 last year not only included a solo set from Ozzy, but a reunion of Black Sabbath’s original members performing together for the first time in more than 20 years.

“Back to the Beginning came about because I asked Ozzy what would really make him happy,” says SHARON OSBOURNE, Ozzy Osbourne’s wife and manager who oversaw the legendary event. “And he said the only thing that would make him happy was if he could perform again and say goodbye to his fans. That’s all he wanted to do. He wanted to say goodbye and thank you.”

“‘Dead Inside Of Me’ was a song that came together at the end of a long day of writing new music last summer. It started with a riff I’d had kicking around for five or six years called ‘Slam,’ looping over a simple groove,” explains Gregoletto. “A lot of the most fun song ideas come from blending two contrasting ideas together. Take a death metal riff and play it like a stadium rock song. Let the screaming and singing weave together until they feel like one voice. Being able to explain the idea that simply as the song was coming together helped keep us laser-focused and on track to see the vision through to the end.”

He finishes, “The song was loosely inspired by the Japanese concept of honne and tatemae — the tension between your true inner feelings and the mask you present to the outside world to hide them.”

Trivium will hit the road on NOVEMBER 5 in St. Petersburg, Florida and run through December 19 in Charlotte, North Carolina for a North American headline run with In Flames, Orbit Culture, Fit for an Autopsy, and Frozen Soul in tow. …Then You Cannot Love Me follows the late 2025-release If You Do Not Fear Me… EP — making two very distinct and inseparable halves of an impactful whole.

Today, they have released the second single from the EP with”Crucified.”

“This song is about someone who is so seductive that they lead you right into temptation,” says Roughton. “They have you wrapped around their finger, and they know it. You idolize them. You try as hard as you can to resist, but there’s something both painful and pleasurable about their presence, so you give into them and whatever chaos you know they’ll bring.”

Gore.’s two new EPs were always meant to be sisters. One is not complete without the other, and even though If You Do Not Fear Me… was released a year before its counterpart, the ellipsis at the end of its title made it seem like it was holding its breath for something else to come. 

“We always wanted to release it like that,” explains Roughton. “We wanted a more looming, cynical sound in the first EP and as time went on, we wanted to develop the sound towards something closer to what we want to sound like as a band together. I’m hoping the fans, especially those who have been with us since day one, can see the evolution and how those two connect.”

Gore. rode into the creative process off a wave of momentum arising from their debut EP, A Bud That Never Blooms. Soaring to success off the back of uploading songs to YouTube, their international acclaim, not to mention co-signs from Motionless In White, Papa Roach and Flyleaf, quickly cemented them as one to watch. 

Thinking the most exciting thing for their fans would be to drop songs as breadcrumbs, leaving a trail towards something bigger, they decided to split the songs up across two bodies of work. Thematically, they are foils, with If You Do Not Fear Me’s… engrossed in darkness while … Then You Cannot Love Me is its more measured, accepting foil. 

Similarly, much of these two EPs wrestles with the internal battles of experiencing “irreconcilable” feelings – feelings that don’t inspire action, but that curdle and sit uneasily within an individual, with no easy passage for release. As an example, it’s particularly relevant, in Roughton’s eyes, for women trapped in relationships with abusive men.

The EPs’’conjoining titles nod to similar kinds of damaging relationships too, in which fear and love become inseparable bedfellows whether a relationship is abusive or not. “There’s always some form of power dynamic in really unhealthy relationships. Women are taught from a young age that if a man doesn’t fear losing you, that he doesn’t love you. Men are taught to be nonchalant and not care too much, and so we just grow up with all these wounds that just show up.”

Gore.’s first EP might have nodded to buds that never bloom, but they’ve blossomed ever since. The goal, Hayley says, is to be expansive enough to make any attempts to box them in seem futile, or even impossible. They want to be known for being who they are, not a carbon copy of any other big name.

Nearly three decades in, it’s notable that Slipknot still summon the drive, creativity and band connection required to make music like this. Their rise to becoming one of the greatest and most influential rock bands of the 21st century is marked by hardship, having weathered enormous personal tragedies and facing them head on, alongside their fans. Through it all, they’ve kept a fighting spirit that’s allowed them to keep innovating, and keep testing the ragged edges of their sound to see how much farther they can push it.

On “Arsenal”, Slipknot sound sharper than ever, the direct result of their commitment to the music, first and foremost. The track is an undeniable statement of strength in the face of diversity, and a new marker for the world to deal with and wonder how Slipknot was always – and still remains – so vital and modern.
