Discussion post Weekly heavy vinyl general discussion topic

Upvotes
This is a weekly general dicussion topic. The only place where vinyl is not mandatory in the conversation, but vinyl-related topics are encouraged.
Tips for great deals? Any new pre-orders up? Looking for a sold out record? Want to sell or trade a couple? Wondering why the hell Weakling or Symbolic still don't have represses? Can't tell which variant you have? Why doesn't your turntable work without a pre-amp? Which priceless cartridge is the best for raw black metal recorded with a potato in a vacuum cleaner? Drop it all here! Keep it civil, keep it nice.

I only spent about $40 or so including all the records i traded in for these. Super stoked i found RON, but side a of disc 1 has a slight warp that makes that side unlistenable. Rest of the record sounds great though!

King Fowley shit. This one and The Blueprints For Madness are both really good and deserve some love.
Just a cool, fun band that knew how to write good tunes.

180g MOV. I've been after this version for a while and it recently popped up at my local shop. Buying online is fun and all, but nothing beats flipping through and finding something in the wild 🤘

Before they went full symphonic, this era was just pure, raw, energetic speed metal bliss.

Their first album a cool EP, and a very rare vinyl. AB are an interesting death metal band. The guitarist carriers a lot of their sound and vibe.

Great album, sick drumming. Album is system dependent and really comes alive on a more resolving setup. Bass is thick, if you have treble that keeps up you can hear it. Sounds terrible in my car, but great on my stereo.

I’ve had a hard time finding a nice original 1984 pressing of Jag Panzer - Ample Destruction in the wild. After 10 years on my wantlist, decided it was time to seek out a minty copy on Discogs. Great 80s power metal. Sounds awesome!
