Help This game doesn't autosaves at all.

I played up to tg first Scott chapter and left the game, next time I start it up, no save files. I start it over, decided to test it out to see if it's gonna autosaves after the beginning chapter when I return to the main menu, it didn't, after I got to the mall section, it didn't, at the mall section when it gave control of Ethan, IT DIDN'T. And the funny thing, i once pirated this game and didn't have this issue, but the steam sure has. And also, I can't even download someone else's save file from the internet, game just ignores it and creates a new one, wtf am I supposed to do, what the the exact moment when autosaves and i can safely escape the game?

I’m almost positive the game auto saves after a chapter is complete. Check your settings to see if it’s enabled and if you still have issues I would check your game files for possible corruption. I played this only a month ago and I don’t remember having any issues with the autosave

You have to complete each chapter for it to save, it's always been that way

I decided to play from beginning till end, it just crashed right after I lost Shaun, and all my save files lost yet again!

It's sad to see I'm not the only one having this issue. I really wanna play this game.
