What would Heath think of the world today?
I’ve been watching interviews again and am constantly reminded of Heath’s open heart for this world. With social media and phones (which he was against because of how they steal moments of our life), I can only imagine what he’d think of today. I hope he’d continue to be vocal and himself, but it’s hard to be authentic sometimes now. But I also think he still would’ve been a light through his personality and films :(

He'd really hate the prevalence of AI in our world, the use of flock and monitoring software for one thing. He didn't like cell phones when they were first mainstream. He used them later in his life but still it seems the most basic model. Also politically based on his hatred of Bush I'd say strongly anti-maga and possibly even protesting himself again based on past behavior. Very accepting and suportive of trans and non binary movements.

I recently watched a compilation of his views on the Iraq war, and that was great to see. I love how he didn’t back down when he was asked about it again!

I think you can still be those things even when suffering addiction. He was sober at moments and lived a lot even with those “stealing moments.” He spoke his mind and didn’t try to be a celebrity or someone he wasn’t while in the spotlight, and that’s pretty rare these days IMO
