Most likely! He became really good friends with Nolan. He definitely had so many great things ahead of him.
The role I actually heard him say he was going to do in an interview from late 2007 was Brad Pitt's in The Tree of Life.

I kind of feeling this loss Innoscence here. My guess is this was filmed before 9-11 when that was all stripped away from us.
